Months and months ago, I tried to get an online game with FFRers. Problem was, they were/are FFRers. And as such, there was much "I can't get online then because my mommy needs to wipe my bottom."

Combine that with 3/6 of the players not knowing the rules, 3/6 of them not showing up for the 1st quest which I put a bunch of time into... and then it all being online so it took forever to type things out.

Yea. It isn't something I plan on trying to run again.

I've always wanted to try D&D, but ALL the D&Ders are seniors, and I never get a chance to talk with them or even run into them in the hallways.

2ND edition DND armor was ridiculous.

Anyone here play D&D Online? It's fun, but for a really small group of people. No WoW'ers in this world.

The only real difference between 3 and 3.5 were changes to classes. The Bard got a major overhaul, which I enjoyed greatly.

there were minor class changes, changes to the multi-class system, and a few changes to skills/feats. that is all that i'm aware of. there may have been a few other minor tweeks as well... but like i've been saying, 3.5 is almost identical to 3.0 and i am still not willing to fork out another 100 bucks on 3.5 when i have 3.0 books. besides, i've spent HUNDREDS more on the other 20+ books that i have.

kefit, as long as your DM is good and you understand the way the game works, you'll have a great time.

rofl... I tried this online D&D for a few minutes. SO BORING. GOOD GOD. It's like I've turned into a senior citizen. So slow at everything and so dull...

Yesterday I was testing out a dungeon solo with my DM to make sure it he didn't forget anything. It really didn't work out because just for fun I chose a Barbarian class for the trial run and as we all know Barbarians are illeterate and there was a lot of magical inscriptions and stuff... Lol.

Haha Grandia, that's not as bad as the time my entire group decided that Will saves are for pussies. Shame that the dungeon I'd made up beforehand had a possessed weapon...

yes... baldur's gate is based on the rules of D&D, although it is kinda outdated. It is based on 2.0, I believe. There have been a few games since that are based on 3.x.
