What people need to understand is that people have a right to be angry about the act just as much as the people have a right to perform the act in the first place. Telling either side they're doing the wrong thing is incorrect.

If patriots are really so angered by this insult, just insult the Mexicans back and claim that they hung the USA flag upside-down because, as stupid Mexicans, they don't know which way is up. Or something.

I can't wait until I go to Japan. Then I can hang their flag upside-down in protest of whatever I want and no one will be able to tell the difference. 8)

If you do not believe that people should be allowed to hang the American flag upsidedown or burn it, then congratulations, you do not believe in the bill of rights! The bill of rights is what makes America a better place to live than somewhere like Mexico! If you take this right away, you effectively remove your right to YOUR opinion on ANY subject!

It is also extremely hilarious how Americans get their backs up over such a little offense as hanging a flag upsidedown. Think about what happened when the minorities in France got pissed, they tore **** up, they burned thousands of cars. If they had hung the French flag upsidedown they would have just said "rofl you think we are so weak to be offended by that, break some rules then lets roll".

I'm not so offended that they hung the US flag upside down, but the fact that they hung it under the flag of the country they were trying to escape is really illogical and thusly frying my circuits a little bit.
