Well, sports tend to go in a bad direction with such a diverse community, dunlop. Everybody would end up bashing eachother's home team and so on.
I'm pretty sure the Civil War was over sports, Yankees vs. [Terry's] Texas Rangers.

Probably, but that's what makes sports so great. Plus, from what I've seen in The Garbage Bin, it couldn't get worse than that.

There will never be a Sports forum. We just don't have the interest. It took FOREVER to get a Media forum, and that was vastly needed.

We have... 30-40 people TOPS that care about sports on FFR. We have 1-2 chess threads, an occasional soccer or track thread, and then 1 thread for every major sport starting up, generally with fantasy stuff worked in.

We did a betting football league last year, vs the spread. I'd be content to do that again plus doing an actual fantasy league.

you sure are giving up alot for Pedro. I don't put too much stock into Cantu, especially since Esupin was trying to pass him off on me the other day in a BS trade.

Cantu isn't bad, but last season was a fluke for him. I didn't think Sertman would accept my trade either, but Hafner has elbow problems, and Glaus might get injured again. Who knows.

I basically did that was because I have faith in Brian Roberts, and Lintu can take 3rd... i've made these kinds of trades in the past and they've worked out.

I'm having a tough time trying to get a pitcher on the bench into his position. Whenever I log on a game is going on, or the day is over it seems.

Cantu's value is in his 2B elegibility. You can find someone far better to stick at third. What you're doing is something like using Jeff Kent at 1B.

Tps, I run through all my leagues after all the day's games are over, click on the next day and arrange my pitching staff and lineups accordingly. I recommend you do the same.

I love how far down TPS is, considering how much gloating he was doing. Mindfields is just doing downright terribly.

Ya how's the pitching strategy working out? You probably don't need to pick up 3 pitchers every day now because of your wins/K lead, so you can work on dropping the whip and era. Too bad I took Glavine. One day, I had three starting pitchers give up 0 earned runs. Crazy.
