So, my neighbor "Skyy" is this flamboyantly gay man (which is amusing if you know anything about Baylor), and I'm cool with that. Recently, he has been letting a boy named Tony stay with him, and getting all starry-eyed whenever he thinks of this boy. Well, up until about a week ago, that is.
Last night, Skyy came over after he got off work to hang out because we hadn't talked in a while, and he tells me that he's just been ridiculously busy and stressed and that he had to get his locks changed. At this, I was not terribly surprised -- I assumed he and Tony had broken up and Tony refused to give back his key, no big, right?
Apparently, a week ago yesterday, someone from the apartment called Skyy and left a message on his phone explaining that they suspected there was a leak in his apartment and needed to get in. About thirty minutes later, Tony called and announced that two policemen were standing outside the apartment door. That evening, while Skyy was at work (he's a concierge or something at the Hilton), two men in suits walked up to the desk and asked for him by his real name. They turn out to be detectives and sit him down and ask if he knows that there is a warrant out for Tony's arrest in San Antonio. Skyy was unaware of this fact. He asks what the warrant is for, and the men won't tell him. They get his permission to search the apartment, and Skyy gets ahold of Tony as soon as he can. Tony says he knows there is a warrant out, and Skyy tells him he needs to move out, because now that he knows Tony is wanted, he could go to jail for harboring a felon. Tony is not so cool on that idea -- he thinks it'll be okay if he stays.
So Tony left in true poetic fashion -- took a bunch of Skyy's shit and left a mushy note about how he's not leaving Skyy he's just getting away.
So the apartment complex changed his locks for free, which was cool. But Tony called and said he needed to go over and pick up more stuff, at which time Skyy mentioned the changed locks, and Tony got sort of upset when Skyy refused to give him a new key. So Skyy's all sad and kind of worried about whatever Tony did and if he'll do anything stupid and I have a big mopey neighbor. =(
The guy was a creep. He bothered me.
