Worst Snowday Ever, just got a little better

Okay, last night and today, we've been dumped with a total of at least a foot of snow, plus more on the way until midnight at the earliest.

They cancel school, obviously, but not college.

We're special like that apparantly.

My only class for the day ends at 11:30. Guess what they do? They close the campus at 12:30.

I drove 35 mph on the highway to get back to my house, stopping only to pick up my paycheck from work.

Here's where day gets better. Work is closing at 2:00, myself just getting there at 1:55. Go off to cash the check, rented some movies, bought a new psp game, and I'm good to go for the night.

I haven't had a snow day in about ever. My disctrict doesn't like them. We have abut an extra week of days incase we need them, but we never use them. And for those really really cold days, where it is like -10 degrees out, we still go to school. It has to be like -25 or something outrageous like that for me to get a day off school. I don't like it at all.

I go to Temple University. I'm pretty sure the apocalypse could happen, and a portal to Hell open up under the Bell Tower in the middle of campus, and we'd still have classes. So a little bit of snow (read: 14 or so inches that was a total drag to shovel, not that I did much of it) is not going to close campus or cancel classes.

What it does do, however, is make all the shuttle buses late, and the trains late, and so you can't get to class on time, and then you get there late and the professor never shows up. That was last year. This year, my Monday teachers cancelled classes even though the school didn't, so I got a free day

Yea, I have a snowday like once every three years. My school NEVER cancels. Last time they canceled was because there was a foot of snow on the road. Recently, there was a 6 inch snowfall on the road and they didn't cancel. But I remember this one time, 4 inches of snow but it ICED so they let us off. I got to rent a game and then I played it all day. Then I beat Silent Hill 2 again. It was great. But long before I discovered FFR.

3 inches of snow today, fell in one hour. Too bad there isn't any school. We MIGHT have had a 2 hour delay.

I wasn't even doing anything but driving...
There were old people everywhere...
They were going slow...

"It RARELY snows where I live. This year, it snowed a bit in February, but melted fast. I saw some kids going to school pissed that school didn't get cancelled. I laughed quietly, seeing as I'm HOMESCHOOL, and I get to do my schoolwork leisurely. It's great to be me right now. PS: I'm in 9th Grade."
