Okay, I got eighteen* after coming back to it three times and thinking for a total of fifteen minutes on the whole thing. I'm sure I'll read the answers in this thread and say to myself, "Oh man, am I ever silly! That one makes complete sense!"

I missed 90 degrees in a right angle.
I missed five toes on a foot.
I missed three wheels on a tricycle.
I missed 23 chromosomes in the human body (especially humiliating because I got taught this in genetics TWO WEEKS AGO)
Somehow, through some lightning bolt of arcane knoweldge, I got that there are 9 provinces in South Africa.
*seventeen before I went through it again and noticed that I completely ignored the Three Blind Mice one
