Yeah, so, first my internet went down for a week... almost immediately after it was fixed, there was a power surge that destroyed my desktop. Pity me.

I use a power strip with an embedded surge protector, so I have nothing to worry about. You should get one, they're like $20.

Once at school a squirrel ran into a power generater on a telephone pole. We saw a big blue flash from my Art Class. Five minutes later we lost power for the rest of the day.

LOL. That's what sometimes would happen where I used to live (a neighborhood of trailers). Often me and my family got to see a small charred body fall from the sky.

If a surge took out your computer, that must really suck. I have a powerstrip with a built in serge protector. To further protect my computer, the computer downstairs is plugged into a direct surge protector. Serges aren't gonna pwn FluorescentArmy.

He might have had a surge protector. The problem is cheap surge protectors wear out after one or two surges.

I dont remember how much mine cost, but I do remember it was about 3 weeks of allowance back in the day.
