RE: 18 tricks to teach your body
omg i was just thinking about that like an hour ago cause i was telling my friend about the throat-ear thing, and i couldnt remember exactly how it went. dude. thank you. lol.
I don't understand some of them though. I need visual aids.
#16 i dont get. i tried it, nothing happened.
#5, i tried. didn't work. i dont understand what "alternately thrusting your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then pressing between your eyebrows with one finger" looks like.

RE: 18 tricks to teach your body
I think #15 will come in handy, especially considering that I'm a swimmer. 10 seconds is a lot of time, especially considering that every time you breathe in swimming, you lose about a tenth of a second. Not that anybody should care..

It can buy you more than 10 seconds if you practice it. That's how pearl divers help ogygenate their blood, and they can stay under longer than pretty much anyone.
Signature subject to change.

So do these work for women too?5. Clear your stuffed nose!
Forget Sudafed. An easier, quicker, and cheaper way to relieve sinus pressure is by alternately thrusting your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then pressing between your eyebrows with one finger. This causes the vomer bone, which runs through the nasal passages to the mouth, to rock back and forth, says Lisa DeStefano, D.O., an assistant professor at the Michigan State University college of osteopathic medicine. The motion loosens congestion; after 20 seconds, you'll feel your sinuses start to drain.clairmai lol hvam lolComment

RE: 18 tricks to teach your body
I have a pretty bad cold right now, so I tried #5, and after about 15 seconds I could feel the congestion relieve.
Fantastic find, plasmix!

This is great stuff. I am going to try number 5 when I get my next sinus infection or something.

RE: 18 tricks to teach your body
I think all the "Men's" stuff comes exclusively from number 3, but I already knew it. You see, when a man's penis is erect, muscles contract to ensure that urine and ejaculate do not coexist in the urethra. That, and the preoccupation.
But the thing about the video? Pfft. I already have a tried-and-true fantasy in place whenever I've feeling overwhelmed, but you'll never get the details out of me because it's never going to actually happen.Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR

RE: 18 tricks to teach your body
Hyperventalating before a race for swimming isn't a good idea. ckj or whoever said that would help them is wrong. Say you're swimming a 100. You'll be able to hold your breath 10 seconds longer then you normally would have.. but unless you're an idiot you don't hold your breath until you HAVE to breath again when you are racing. It's pointless for competitive swim.Comment
