Okay, I just noticed this in the legalization of marijuana thread, but it seems like a lot of people here are very, very uninformed about drugs and what they do to your body. Therefore, I'd like to answer any questions you all have about any drug and what it may do to your mind/body. Also, since I support safety, I will answer questions about dosages of drugs to the best of my knowledge and with my mass of drug research articles I have to make sure that you don't hurt you or yourself if you really want to try a drug.
I'll give a basic summary of the common drugs here:
Alcohol: Generally safe if you do it in a controlled environment. Alcohol effects people in unpredictable ways and can cause some people to turn violent and belligerent. If you do this drug know your limits and do NOT drink more because of peer pressure. Also, if you have an addictive personality I would make sure to carefully moderate your usage of this drug. Alcohol can kill you and alcohol poisining is a very real threat.
Caffeine: Not many people realize this is a drug, and many, many people abuse the hell out of it. Caffeine is an addictive stimulant and is found in a myriad soft drinks and other popular food items. Caffeine has a physical withdrawal where you will experience headaches and nausea/discomfort if you stop using caffeine after regular use. To all those people drinking packs of mt. dew and the like, lay off. There are better drugs to get your hands on and a dependence on stimulants isn't pretty (i.e. coke, meth)
Tobacco: No, stay away, just don't do it. Tobacco is very, very addictive and gives you nothing more than a slight headrush that you become accustomed to after a brief usage. There's no reason to do this drug unless you hate money.
Marijuana: Ahh, the first illegal substance. It's quite sad and pretty confusing that this is illegal while tobacco and alcohol are legal. Different strains of marijuana will affect you in different ways because there are two different strains: cannabis sativa and cannabis indica. There's a general saying that the first few times you smoke you don't really get high. I found this to be true myself. If you do it once and don't feel anything, try it a few more times till you learn what it's about... and trust me, you'll know when you're there. Also, after you do get high for your first time do not be scared of the effects on your body. Yes, numbness in your fingers or toes is normal, yes cotton mouth is normal, yes your heart beating fast as hell is normal. Furthermore, your weed is not laced with something. I could go into all the reasons that weed isn't laced but I'll keep it simple: It is not economically smart for drug dealers to lace weed and drug dealers are out to make money, not mess people up. If your weed is laced, you'll know it's laced before you smoke it. Weed is mildly psychologically addicitve, and quitting after regular use often leads to difficulty sleeping. Also, no one has ever died smoking weed, don't worry. The lethal dose of weed is approximately equal to a crate full of weed.
DXM (aka robitussin): Ahh, this is an interesting drug. but first, an important note. If you do robitussin be absolutely positive that the only active ingredient in the tussin is dextromethorphan hydrobromide. If there is a second active ingredient taking a recreational dose will damage your liver. Furthermore, I DO NOT recommend using this drug more than once every two weeks. Though research is inconclusive, there is reason to believe that habitually using DXM will damage you permanently; however, occasional use is generally safe, and using it once won't hurt you. From around 100mg-300mg you'll feel slight effects from the drug, and above that to around 600mg these affects amplify. Above 600mg is where you hit what's called the 'third plateaur.' Here, effects like temporary blindness and loss of motor skills are common. It can be fun to experiment up here, but as far as all you kids at FFR go, don't go this high. My recommended first time dose is 300-350mg. DXM also has a rather annoying comedown. You might notice that you can't focus your eyes while on the drug or coming down, also, you will feel fried and you will feel like crap the next day... that's what you get for messing with drugs.
That's all I'll go through because for the average person at FFR I do not suggest experimenting with anything else except maybe mushrooms. However, I will answer questions about any drug you want to ask about.
Do not discuss purchasing these drugs or where to purchase them. It's okay to ask me how much it typically costs for some kind of drug, but asking about specifics is a grey area as far as legality goes and I will kick your ass for doing so.
