    New Year's Roadtrip

Because I want to have a vehicle when I go out to college, I'm going to drive my truck all the way from here to where I'll be going to school in Virginia.

The general path I'll be taking is this link.

I did plan on visiting the Ft. Worth area, seeing as I've got like a hundred thousand million internet friends around that area. I'm just posting it here to get the word out. If you've got any suggestions for things to visit along the way or nice places to stay, message me on AIM at SandmanCCL, or e-mail/message [email protected]. I'm trying to get this planned long before I actually leave (it'll likely be December 29th, giving me 4 days to get to school.)

Unless massive tectonic plate shifts somehow put Oregon between Nevada and Virginia, then I doubt I'd be able to.

I should see if there are any bands playing in Oregon before I'd leave for school. Could be a good enough excuse. I think Justin King's band will be in Eugene later in the month... maybe that already happened.

Southern Virginia University. I'm going to be taking English as a major and Creative Writing as a minor. One of the teachers in the Creative Writing program is Orson Scott Card, if the name rings a bell. He's a very accomplished writer.

Oh that's leet, you might run into a friend of mine down there, her name is Kelsey.

I've heard a lot of good things about SVU, everyone who's been there has a positive thing to say about it. They keep trying to get me to come, maybe I should visit now that there's an FFR'er there.

I didn't even know he was teaching. Wow, that's insanely awesome. I don't know anyone at that school, but just the fact that he's there makes me a little bit jealous.

Be sure to tell us what he's like after taking one of his classes. =D

I'll be dropping him off at the Roanoke Airport before I get to the school. Ever heard the song Thunderstruck? I plan on playing that on loop once we hit Texas.
