..and they have decided on something totally unexpected and, shall i say, weird. As Seniors of my school progress in the year, they can every so often check to see their Academic Rank of their senior class, based on their grade point average. Well, our school decided it would be extremely "exciting" if they used their rank number (lowest number being 150 that could participate) and matched it to the pokemon number in the classic, but old, Pokemon series. That's right. If you're rank 1, you are entitled as Pokemon number 1, which i think was bulbasaur or something. Anyway, today, if you went down to the office and asked them about your rank/pokemon thing, you would get a plain colored t-shirt with a picture of the pokemon ironed on to the surface, and you had the choice of wearing it around all day to represent your rank, as well as your pokemon. I don't see the point, but i guess it was a way to "rep your rank"..I found it amusing to see a bunch of Seniors walking around wearing purple colored shirts (one of our school's main colors) with a pokemon smack-dab in the middle of the shirt, big enuogh to see from a good 300 feet away...Just another one of those stupid things our school board comes up with. Just thought i would share that with you guys.
So my school is being outrageous again...

You must be joking. XD
That's one of the most hilarious ideas applied to school. Pokemon? Wow, people are all too eager to inject what they think is "exciting" into their school. =/
Although...wearing a Pikachu shirt would be totally awesome.
P.S. Alert Nintendo.

Thats what you get when you put the most nerdiest/geekiest kids in charge of selecting school-sponsored activities, as well as for the Senior class.

I agree that it's a very creative and neat idea, but the fact that our school actually went through with it and even went as far as giving the Seniors t-shirts is what i see amazingly outrageous. I wouldn't feel bad for number 150, since mewtwo does rock. I ended up wearing a Raichu shirt all day, which wasn't too bad. But if i had to be any of them, i would have wanted pikachu. I know i sound like a hypocrite since i actually wore the shirt that symbolizes the idea that i stated was stupid, but if you can't beat em, join em.

Each grade in our school designs their own shirts. They are ten dollears each.Comment
