Apparently my compute has told itself to read blank dvd's wrong, becuase when I put one in the drive name changes from CD/DVD-W to CD Drive.
It will play dvds, just not read the blank ones.
I have uninstalled everything new that might have cause this problem and got nothing. I have checked online, but the only answer I can find is from the microsoft help and support center. But that really doesn't apply here because I have neither Roxio or that other program installed or ever have been installed on my system.
When I right click the drive and click the tab hardware, it brings up a list of all my drives, with correct names, I click on the DVD burner(TSSTcorp CD/DVD-W TS-H552U) and it says it is working perfectly.
Short of a reformat, what can I do to remedy this problem.
BTW, I tried dissabling it and re-enabling it.
