    RE: iPod Nano

Buy a fusionist and fuse a bunch of iPod nanos together to increase their GB capacity. Note: You'll need a lot of mana or a high leveled fusionist for this one. Try going to some level 9999 dungeons and stealing some iPod nanos to fuse with from there.

        RE: iPod Nano

The reasoning behind nano was simple - they wanted to phase out the iPods with the monochrome screens. All the regular iPods are now iPod photos, so they wanted to do the same thing with the minis.

This was a smart marketing move. People who buy minis are more concerned with the fashion appeal of the device than its practical applications. For people who want to make a fashion statement with a device, they like these things to be small and sexy.

I have 11 GB worth of music, so my 20 GB iPod will keep me satisfied until the distant future. It's in a hard plastic case to protect it, which further increases its nerd appeal. It's a wonderful device. I simply need to make myself some good playlists.

I have 5.77 GB worth of music. If I had all the songs I wanted, I'd probably have 7-8 GB. I don't see how people can have 40+ GB worth of music. Sorry, but I don't like sorting through shit. Quality, not quantity.

          Nanos are really cool looking.

You don't have to use Apple format music. You can put any MP3 on there. Spend a day converting your cherrished CD collection. I don't pick up my whole CD collection to go on a 5 minute everyday ride. I set that bitch up in my room and put it on random or spend 2 seconds picking a CD I want to listen to. The iPod may be "trendy" but it still is a hell of a usefull thing.

Oh yeah, the Nano. I saw the wiki on it the day it came out. I thought it was a joke at first. Quite an accomplishment. I do believe it was chardish who said apple was phasing out the monochrome screens, right spot on the dot.

Listen to your Nano and play your GBA Micro..

PS I listen to it all.

PPS That's not including all my CDs.

PPPS I know it's not as much as some people's collections.

                5000 songs and it's 40 Gigs? Thats like 10 MB a song.

I'm not good with thinking this out and I know thats wrong but you get the idea.

I've got 30+ gigs and I know for a fact I have more than 5000.

                  90% of that is legal.

I just don't get why people think smaller is better. It's harder to use, easier to loose, has less space for songs and has a shorter battery life then a normal iPod. The only reason my friend is getting it is because it comes in black =/.

                    RE: Re: RE: iPod Nano

My 11 gigs is 2300 songs, so 40 gigs would be around 8000 for me. By Apple's own estimates (1 GB = 250 songs), you should have twice the amount of music you do.

What's the compression on most of your songs? Anything over 192 KBPS and you can't tell the difference through iPod earbuds. It's different if you're hooking it up to an awesome stereo, but if you're doing that and trying to maximize quality, chances are you don't want to use the iPod, with its built-in amplifier, as an audio source.

my friend has 90.25 days of music or something like that. essentially 3 months worth. he has a 60 gig ipod which he's filled up (twice, once it messed up) and around 180 (it's probably in the 200s now) data cds with all his music on them. he's got a binder with a print out to keep track of it.

but you know there are people with insane amounts of music... terabytes really.

While I know you cannot change the verb tense of the quote message, a heinous grammatical error, such as "he should have wrote" when correcting someone else's terrible verb tense, is kind of ironic in a painful way.

And really, who uses the iPod earbuds? God damn. I have to at work because if I use my etymotics, I wouldn't be able to hear the phone ring.

I have an iPod mini that I thought my friend broke on Friday (I was pissed.) My friend fixed it the same day. The click wheel is still messed up, and i'm still pissed at her. I was angry to find out they replaced the mini's with the nano's. I have a 6GB mini, so it'll hold about 1,500 songs. I only have 500 since I lost most of it. If I didn't have my hd crash, I would have gotten the U2 one (20 gigs). I only have about 2GB left on my iPod now because I had to put all of my songs on there again, copied to the harddrive part, so that when I get my new computer I can transfer it back. once it's on the new computer, it'll be off my iPod. Oh welll, that'll still be another month's wait.

iPod nano: Cute, not enough space.
