Hint: It tells you that you need to enter "64.53.188.63 [4000]" to connect to it, but it only works if you enter "64.53.188.63 4000."

Its common computer talk to put square brackets around optional parameters
the [] only means that its optional

OK, I can tell what happens when you connect, and I am no longer interested at ALL.

Thanks for saving me some time for myself, guys.

I got it to work. I thought I had to put [4000] to specify port, but I only needed to put 4000.

It's too complicated to navigate and it doesn't work properly on my computer so I quit. And also, when I played Space Empire it would automatically skip the phase where I choose to buy/sell food and it skipped another phase, and it woudln't let me make my own alliance. It always said I chose to quit.

lol, this reminds me of that video where they're like "the internet is filled with great intelligent people" that was a documentary from like 20 years ago. That, in turn, reminds me of Oregon Trail.

                          ahhhh, the good ole days
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Heh, yea.. Telnet uses a space to separate the IP from the port. Wtf @ trying to use brackets... XD

Oregon Trail, rofl, I remember that. "All your oxen drowned, your wife committed suicide, your son od'd on opium, you have no food". Fun.
