    Congrats Rafael Palmeiro

Congratulations to Rafael Palmeiro on getting his 3,000th hit Thursday night against the Seatle Mariners at Seattle. He is now the 26th player to recieve 3,000 hits. But, he is the forth player in Major League Baseball history to have 3,000 hits and 500 homeruns. He joins Hank Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray in that elite group of the 3,000 hit/500 homerun club.

The question is, can he reach 600 hr's, and join and even more elite crew, Aaron, and Mays.

Yay for most boring sport out there. (Sorry if I offended anyone with that statement. Tass. Don't kill me :P)

Now hockey is where it's at!

            RE: Congrats Rafael Palmeiro

Next year Hockey will be interesting. I'm curious to see exactly what rules they decide to go with. The shootout will kick ass.

But, as far as Rafi goes... 1. you have Ruth up there instead of Eddie Matthews... 2. Palmero will NOT reach 3500 Hits. He averages 140-150 over the past 3 years, and is on pace for 140ish this year. that puts him around 3070. it would take 3+ years more for him to hit 3500, which he WILL NOT play. He'll retire next year, IMO. This is already his 20th season. 3. He has 583 career doubles, not HRs. He has 566 career HRs. 34 away from 600, although he hit 38+ 2,3,and 4 years ago... he only hit 23 last year. He already has 15 this year though, so is on pace for close to 30. At that pase he will hit 600 next season, and I suspect he'll keep playing next year to hit that milestone, especially if Baltimore can make a playoff run this year.

There is more I can say, but I'll limit it to that. Y'all gotta get your facts straight before you start posting sports related topics on FFR, or I WILL rip it apart.
            RIP

if you're referring to Stat Boy and the host of Around the Horn... you spelled it wrong. Its Reali. Tony Reali.
