If Ridder's comment was true, then that guy fully deserved what he got.

However I do agree with the religion part of your post. On the Internet, atheists seem a lot pushier than the religious, and this community is no exception.
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.

RE: Re: I feel that this needs saying.

I was going to post in that thread. I probably would have made fun, and attempted to answer, but it turns out my answer would have not been correct anyway. It's definitely better that I didn't post, as I would have come off as an ass.

Actually, if the thread had been posted in Garbage bin instead, I would have had no problem making a joke about it, but since it was in Critical Thinking/Chit Chat, I didn't even bother. It would be wrong to make fun in that way in those forums.

RE: Re: I feel that this needs saying.

I'm surprised people are agreeing with me. I figure this would get locked and/or flamed (just for some irony).
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

I agree with EB in the sense that taunting someone is horrible. At the same time, it's the way that the person who is asking the question or the "noob", presents themselves.

I think new comers would get along lot easier on this board, if they didn't take the crap that people give them.

              Edit: Moogy, that's undoubtedly childish.

Not necessarily new members, Skooter. For example, you had connections when you came her. But more importantly, most people who act like the stereotypical "n00b" get shunned, often out of the community, when in reality they might have been potentially excellent members. This happens plenty often, and it really shouldn't.

If the person is going to be stupid enough to do something worth getting them shunned and then is emo enough to actually leave because of it, I doubt they would've been a valuable member of our society anyway.

I know that if I were treated like shit by every forum member that I would see little reason to go there anymore. It's not really a question of being "emo".

I see the FFR forums as the reason behind the decline of Western Civilization. J/k But in all seriousness, I've noticed I've been frequenting the forums less and less on the whole. Just the whole atttitude of the people who post is ridiculous and makes talking online all the less fun.

Although some people here won't get this example, some will.

A great example of this is Snowcrafta at a0. He came, acted like a complete moron for quite a while, got ripped on like all hell. He persisted though, and instead of getting pissed at the criticism, he used it, and bettered himself. Now he is a valued member. Not enough people respond to criticism (whether nice or mean) like this.

Too many people try to fit in too quickly... hell, I barely made any posts the first six months I was here, and I only had like 500 in december. You sort of have to creep into the community. Being good at the actual game helps, too.

I remember that from the beginning when he joined until now. Amazing how I can remember these things.

Ok, Qreepy, I understand entirely where you're coming from. I did know a select few people when I came here, and I'm dating and living with one of the moderators. However, everyone else couldn't have based there opionions on me off of that (or at least I hope they didn't).

As for the whole being good at the game thing...I suck at FFR...SUCK. I can do one or two easy songs, and some beginners. I've played DDR few times in my life, as I'm just getting into it.

I actually think the opposite of Talisman, I do not believe anyone should ever creep into anything, I think that makes you vulnerable. I feel like I ran in here all opinionated and loud, so that it was an in your face kinda deal...

I guess everyone has there opinions on technique though. I totally agree that "noobs" shouldn't be bashed, It just shows how shitty and immature the harrasee are.
