Well after a bit of debating I decided to maybe leave FFR. I doubt anyone will care since I did nothing to contribute or I am not popular. The reason is because recently I have been getting a huge amount of popups and they have been interupting my playing. I downloaded a anti-spyware program, but it works like crap. So I was wondering if anyone could send me a link to download something to get rid of the spyware/adware. If you could I thank you very much.

Re: RE: Possibly Leaving FFR (need good anti-spyware)
As far as I can tell Adware SE Personal costs money and I can't find the download link for SP2. I'd switch to firefox, but I would have to ask my mom (since this is her computer), is firefox free? Because I was hoping to get a free Adware/Anti-Spyware since my mom doesn't want to spend money.Originally posted by -Fallen-Adware SE Personal

Microsoft Anti-Spyware works great, too. Firefox also has a built-in popup blocker, so you won't have to worry about popups any more.

Firefox stops everything, it gave me a warning when I first got a PM as I have a box that pops up when I get a new PM. Also when I click on stuff at first I had to allow it to open in a new window. It works great.Comment

Even if he switches to firefox, that will not rid his computer of the hundreds upon hundreds of spyware installs. I highly.. HIGHLY.. recommend Xoftspy, it catches about 10x the amount of spyware that Adware does but on the down side it costs money.
You can however run a scan with it for free.

Re: RE: Re: RE: Possibly Leaving FFR (need good anti-spywar
I was using Micorsoft Anti-Spyware and it deleted the files, then I rebooted and they were back, so I am looking for something else. Firefox I am not going to use since I would probably have to switch internet providers or soething my mom wouldn't allow. The Adaware SE Personal I googled and clicked on the first couple links and it said stuff about purchasing it (can't find the link you are talking about), and the SP2 and Xoftspy I am checking out.Originally posted by SpazzbiteMicrosoft Anti-Spyware works great, too. <edit> I just did that free scan and found out I have at least 100 adware/spyware on my computer, so I need to get a program asap.

I don't see how hard it is to find the download link for AdAware SE. I found this link off the lavasoft.com page within 30 seconds.
edit:Firefox does not use its own Internet Service Provider. you must be like 13 or 14 where your mom controls what you download. Just download firefox, its only a browser. It's not a new internet. It won't mess up any of your internet service provider settings or anything. It's just like using internet explorer, and no, internet explorer is not your internet service, its just a browser to use the internet. Anyway, i recommend you download firefox to prevent any spyware in the future.Originally posted by BCLRFirefox I am not going to use since I would probably have to switch internet providers or soething my mom wouldn't allow.

Yes I am 14, but I will look into the firefox. Also an error pops up every so often with the popups saying that there is something wrong with the internet.Originally posted by dancingmaniac3I don't see how hard it is to find the download link for AdAware SE.
