Sony,

The traditional market base for portable machines has been middle schoolers and young children. Yet you're marketing the PSP towards older gamers with a $300 price tag - the same market base who would otherwise be buying the PS3 for about the same price. How are you going to deal with the fact that in about a year, you're going to have two very different machines in about the same price range? What are your specific plans going to be for keeping the PSP and PS3 separate and unique?

Guys... if you want my money, think outside the box. Don't give me questions about specific games... those are questions for programmers, not for executives. Give me things like "what kind of marketing do you plan on doing for the PSP?" "how has moving into the handheld market impacted Sony's overall profit margin?" "How did the idea arise and the technology develp to create such an extensive all-in-one device?"

So far, only LD has questions worthwhile to me.

Honestly chardish, PSP is selling out real fast despite the price tag it carries. the way it is being sold for 250 is with a bundle of accessories from sony, and the unit by itself only costs 180, but they aren't being sold like that in the US yet.

I've sold many to people in their mid twenties. In fact, I'd say it is more adults and later teens who are coming in and buying these things than youngings.

As for keeping them unique. That is easy. One is portable, the other is not, and supposedly, there will be UMD format available with ps3 too. The introduction of the Cell processing unit will also drive the graphics and play through the roof, assuming they take full advantage of it. ps3 will also be backwards compatible, so you can wait it out and then upgrade your ps2 when the price drops and still carry over your old games and controllers, more or less.
