lol... umm yea.. DBZ and GT arent the best animes.. might be most watched, but still isn't the best... ER is the most watched T.v. (it might not be anymore) but it sucks.. only reason it was number one is because its on cable and non cable... apply the to DBZ... its said to be the best because mostly little kids who watch the power rangers (which is a sweet show, or used to be until they gayed it up in space)like those action shows and use there imagination and wish they could fly... as i've said before.. it is a good introductory Anime, but isn'r nearly as great as some of the others ( hellsing, Naruto, Neo (or Neon i can never remember) Genesis Evangalion, or even Jewpin... i mean Lewpin the Third (the movies, not the cartoon network bullshit)

Dragonball (Z/GT) are very good introductory animes, but compaired to some of the other animes I've seen, Dragonball is a joke.

Pretty much what 87x said. A few other really good animes I'd like to add to the list are FLCL (Furi Kuri), and RahXephon (if you can get past the first 10 episodes)

And it's Neon Genesis Evangelion, just so you know. Although "Neo Genesis" would be more fitting being as Shinseki means "New Gospel".
