Our 9th grade English class is holding something we call, "The Great Letter Exchange" or something like that.
What that means to the people who don't know this is: Each person in our 9th grade English class writes a letter to any 9th grade high school class in the USA. This letter is in Business Format.
In our Business Letter to the class, I state what its like in So. Cal, California in general, our school, and a little about ourselves. The business letter won't be exactly the longest letter ever, but its something to be interested in reading.
Once the school of my choice gets my letter, the school will chose a class to give it to. And by my request, I can also chose the class to give it to. Once the class receives the letter, there will be an extra letter attached to it, stating what the program is and how to contact us back. If the class would like to, and I hope so, the whole class writes to me back and I get all of your letters in my class.
The reason I am attracting Michigan 9th Graders is because of the High School I am chosing.
Each student was assigned to chose a State, and lucky for me, Michigan was not listed as taken yet. Knowing there is a lot of FFR people from Michigan, I chose Michigan quick. Another main reason why I chose Michigan was because now if I get some responces back from you guys, it can be from you FFR'ers and luckily we can be "Pen Pals" and exchange other stuff if you want.
Now here is where you can help.
You can help chose me a high school to write to, hopefully one of yours. I would love it if some of you were 9th graders and we can do this. Guys post your high school and tell me a little paragraph or sentence why you should get picked. Bonus points to people in 9th grade.
I hope we can get this done quick because my letter is due on Wednesday. I also hope you all understand what this is by my summary, it might not be the best explained and if you guys would like a bit of info or a question, feel free to ask.
POLL ENDS TUESDAY. GO!
EDIT: It can also be other states to participate, but Michigan WILL get a letter. Two winners if it is out of Michigan.
