And washington can be considered a cinderella team because they started from nothing this year and went to #1.... They weren't a bad team last year but not this good.

Let me spell it out for you once again.... a cinderella is a team that is NOT expected to do well, and does. By definition, a 1, 2, 3, or 4 seed is expected to do well, and nobody is suprised if they go to the Final 4. A 5-7 going to the Final 4 is unexpected, an 8-11 going to the Elite 8 is unexpected, a 12-14 going to the Sweet 16 is unexpected, and a 15-16 winning a game is unexpected.

As of now, only UAB and UWML are bigtime upsets... and I picked both of them.

Man, New Mexico came back big, but it wasn't enough. Central Florida made it close too, but UConn won. That's makes me 6/8 today so far =/ not great.

OK... I just went 4/4. Talisman and I are both 20/24. Kilga is at 19, LD and Muskrat are at 18.


Only games that matter of the last 8 are: Stanford vs Miss St and Mich St vs ODU. I, Personally, have MSU and MSU. Talisman has Stanford and ODU... Kilga has Stanford and MSU. Its possible all 3 of us will be tied at the end of the day.

AGAIN let me explain to you something....... thats the basic form of a cinderella team. Washington WAS not suppose to do well this season. They are a cinderella team because they went from a high seed to a low seed and have been tearing it up. Very few could of guessed washington being #1

Lots of people expect Gonzaga to win their division this year. From what I've heard fom ESPN more people think Gonzaga will win than Wake Forest, Washington, or Louisville.

I think I actually have them losing to Texas Tech.

No slacky. You're wrong. A cinderella is only a team with a low seed. Washington may not have been predicted to be a #1 seed pre-season, in fact they were ranked 24th pre-season. The top 4 team preseason were Kansas, Wake, UNC, and GT. Illinois was 5th. So, is Illinois a Cinderella too? Again, how a team faired during the regular season means nothing when talking about a Cinderella. The 85 Wildcats over Georgetown was a Cinderella. The only #8 seed to ever win the tournament. The 83 Wolfpack beating Phi Slamma Jamma of Houston was a Cinderella. Hampton, Santa Clara, Coppin State, and Richmond were all Cinderellas.

Washington and Gonzaga are not.

Also, my apologies to Hans... who also has 20 points, and has the same final 8 games as I do. So we live and die together.
