Can over protective parents be hazardous to teenagers

For years, from self experience, over protecive parents can be a good thing but with all good things, must cometh the bad.

I said yes I would know firsthand, i have a some myself. Its like whenever you ask to go to the mall they assume theres gonna be a shootout and whevever you want to go with your friends they say to call them every 5 minutes or something, its just absurd. You just can't be yourself and have fun with them. In a word, overprotective parents are : EVIL!!!!!!!!!

I think that unless you are out of high school you really can't say becuase you are looking at the issue from within your parents control.

Insanely overprotective is, of course, not a good thing, but I doubt that is the case for many of you.
