And that's a problem why?

I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds. -
there were plenty of people waving Dominican flags around Boston supporting Pedro, Ortiz and Manny.Comment

i think you'll be very suprised emccky... look at their lineups. Pujoles, Edmunds, Rolen, Walker, and Renteria for the Cardinals... and the Bs for Houston; Bagwell, Biggio, Berkman, and Beltran.. not to mention Lamb is hitting 400 in the series. Also, the Cardinals led all of baseball with 105 wins. and the Astros won 18 games in a row to end the season, and 22 of the past 23 at home including the playoffs... neither team will be a pushover. the pitching matchup between houston and boston if it happens will be epic.RIPComment

If the red sox can sweep the angels and come from behind to win four straight...i think they got the better chance....its not about your pitching or your hitting....its all about heart and thats what the red sox have...Along with Schilling Pedro Lowe ( who everyone under estimates) And their hitting is awesome too, dont say that the killer B's or cardinals can compare, they may come close but close isn't enoughComment

i'm not taking any side.... i just don't think it will be one-sided and dominated by the sox. it'll be a good 6 or 7 game series. and i really don't care who wins. all i want is to watch a good series. if i really had to choose, i'd pick cards/astros because i'm a NL fan and because i love seeing the boston fans whine about the curse.RIPComment

It will be a 6 or 7 game series no doubt about it. And if the red sox do win i dont wanna hear any people be like "took you guys long enough" look at our division steinbrenner buys any player he wants just to beat boston. Boston has 5 world series championships more than most teams. I doubt its a curse but a pregnancy gone wrong when steinbrenner was bornComment

boston could have 30 WS titles... its the fact that the haven't won in 86 years, since the year they sold Babe Ruth... that is the point of it.
like i said above... the Phillies only have 1 WS title... yet no one talks about them, because it was in 1980 and because they have been a pretty pathetic team for most of the past 100 years; same with the ChiSox.RIPComment

Right i see where you are coming from, it was a stupid mistake but now the yankees are going to far, their payroll is incredible now. There gonna get randy johnson pedro (possibly) beltrans already talking with them. Its just stupid and they need to put a salary cap onComment

Yankees won't go for Pedro, New York in general hates him too much.I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. see, the thing with a salary cap... it just won't work like it does in football. because of the profit sharing and the amazing tv deal that the NFL has, its very very easy for the NFL to have a cap. the teams very little of the teams salary themselves, as each team's portion of the tv rights is almost equal to the salary cap.... whereas its much less in baseball, and you have teams like Tampa Bay or (now defunct) Montreal who spend 25 million a year. the salary cap only works if every team is paying out the cap amount (like the NFL).
baseball DOES have a luxury tax above a certain payroll amount. not sure about this year, but last year the Yankees were the only team that had to pay the tax.RIPComment
