Um.. I THINK it was because a good friend of mine called me a spazz when I was in a bad mood, and I guess I took offense to it, so I bit him. Then I thought "spazz.. bite.. spazzbite... oh cool!"
Then I saw CKY2K =\ Luckily my nickname uses two Z's

Hooray! But for which reference?Originally posted by OmeganitrosDude. GuidoHunter has won the thread.
Either way, I think esupin has truly won the thread by getting his name from a Jet Set Radio tag. I am very impressed. Or jewpin with "Felix J. Awesome".
Regardless, zajac lost hardcore with his Dreamcast comment...

My username has loads of importance. Back in fifth grade we thought it would be a good idea to form a gang. This gang however was fighting on the side of good... but still using gang tactics. The name of the gang was Lethal Beans and everyone in the gang had a bean name of some kind. I got AfroBean, because my hair used to fluff out and people thought it looked like an afro. Back to the gang thing: it didn't last long; within a few months of inception, we were forced to disband by the administrators of the school. About a year and a half ago, I decided to recreate the Lethal Beans as a skate team, but that fell apart quickly. That is when I started using Afrobean as my internet handle.
On a side note, I thought of making this same exact thread, but I was just plain too lazy to do it.

A looooong time ago, when I started playing Frequency, I made the name Sword, because I have a scar on my left shin that is shaped like a small sword. Then, before I went online with Freq, I decided to add DJ in front of it, hence making it DJ Sword. Since I was (am) rather good at playing AND mixing, the name quickly became recognized and heard of. Well, when I was online, people often just called me Sword if they knew me at all, because internet people are like that. Then, I got into DDR. I wanted to keep my name, but DJ Sword didn't sound right on a game that had absolutely nothing to do with making music, so it became just "Sword".
When I cam to FFR, I tried registering the name Sword, but it said it was already taken, which looking now, it's not. o_O Anyways, I had recently asked my asian friend what "Sword" was in japanese. He told me it was Tsuguri. I now know of the sword-play arcade game Tsurugi, which I'm guessing is the actual translation, but I'm not really sure. If Tsuguri is the real one, then cool. If Tsurugi is, then I have my own little twist on it. Anyways, it actually stuck, and I've used that more often for registering nowadays.
I also made up the name Pasta when I purchased my first Initial D liscense, because that's what my hand smelled like at the time. I've also used that for various things online.
On a side note, I've had the same AIM name, OnyxSnow44, since I had old AOL 3.0 on a Windows 3.1 system, all those years ago.Comment

Five or six years ago I needed a name for a quickling on Lensmoor (a MUD). So I closed my eyes, typed five random keys, and rearranged what I got to form Kefit. I really liked the name, so it kind of stuck. Now I use if for all social things I do online, from message boards to online gaming.
I use the name geoff42 (first name + 42, the best number ever) for everything I do online that isn't social in nature (accounts for ordering stuff, etc.).
The only other name I have used is Silaria (my stock female character name), which just popped into my head when I was naming a female wood elf in Everquest back in 1999.
My aim name is just Kefit + 42, since some bastard had already stolen Kefit ;_;

Jet Set Radio is the Japanese version of Jet Grind Radio (no Future in either). I thought Jet Set sounded better than Jet Grind, so that's what I call it.Originally posted by esupinActually, it was Jet Grind.
