AIM Rickey 445 from the AOL Messenger Service....

    ....my ass

Lol, a must read? Cause it kept me interested.

AIM Ricky 445 (10:30:51 AM): This is Ricky Danielson from the AOL Instant Messanger Service I need to talk to you regarding your screen name and a confirmation on your password
    Snapps50 (10:31:03 AM): no
Snapps50 (10:31:30 AM): give me an excellent reason why, or its a no
AIM Ricky 445 (10:31:37 AM): Last night some hackers hacked into our confidential files and stole many members passwords and confidential information so we will need you to confirm your password with us.
    Snapps50 (10:31:54 AM): and if i disagree?
AIM Ricky 445 (10:32:24 AM): You assume the risk of having your password and screen name stolen or banned from our service
Snapps50 (10:32:53 AM): now why would it be stolen form your service and why would you ban my screen name for no reason.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:33:54 AM): The hackers who got into our service last night how have access to members private information and passwords which means that they could easily get your password
Snapps50 (10:34:33 AM): So let me ask this first, your going to IM every person using AIM to warn them.
Snapps50 (10:34:52 AM): cant think of an answer?
AIM Ricky 445 (10:35:01 AM): In a sense yes. Some will be emailed with this problem
Snapps50 (10:35:28 AM): lol, if they get into my screen name, then i will just change my password, simple
AIM Ricky 445 (10:36:02 AM): But, that wont be possible if they change your password while theyre on your set
    Snapps50 (10:36:22 AM): define set
AIM Ricky 445 (10:36:28 AM): screen name
    Snapps50 (10:36:31 AM): k
    Snapps50 (10:36:32 AM): hmm
    Snapps50 (10:36:44 AM): i say...
    Snapps50 (10:36:45 AM): no
AIM Ricky 445 (10:36:57 AM): That is your legal right and you wont be bothered by me with this problem again.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:37:09 AM): Thank-You for your time
    Snapps50 (10:37:13 AM): Your welcome
Snapps50 (10:38:16 AM): btw, i am posting this on a VERY popular site I go to, just so you know.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:39:05 AM): Our service has no problem with that.
Snapps50 (10:40:43 AM): now where is the proof your form the AIM messenger service
    Snapps50 (10:40:46 AM): *from
    Snapps50 (10:40:53 AM): i mean, wow a screen name
Snapps50 (10:41:01 AM): very convincing to few
AIM Ricky 445 (10:42:21 AM): We realize that some may try to abuse this and lie to members to get their passwords, but if you are concerned about me being an actual worker for AOL then you can contact my boss whos screen name is AIM John 445
Snapps50 (10:43:04 AM): can i get back to you on this? Or does this have to be right now.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:43:20 AM): What would ou like to get back to me on?
Snapps50 (10:43:51 AM): Can I get back to you on the password Business like, tomorrow? Because I want to think it over.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:44:39 AM): That will be fine.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:45:07 AM): I'll go ahead and get into contact with you tommorow at 12:00 p.m. Central Time
AIM Ricky 445 (10:45:12 AM): Will that be fine?
Snapps50 (10:45:26 AM): That is fine.
    Snapps50 (10:45:31 AM): Thank-you for your time
AIM Ricky 445 (10:45:37 AM): No, Thank -you
AIM Ricky 445 (10:45:54 AM): Do you have any more questions or concerns about this?
Snapps50 (10:46:24 AM): Nope, i just need a day to think it over. Because really its very hard for me to be convinced that someone is working for the AIM service.
Snapps50 (10:46:33 AM): So, i will have my answer tomorrow
AIM Ricky 445 (10:46:39 AM): That will be fine
AIM Ricky 445 (10:47:06 AM): Please dont feel you are pressured to do this, but we just dont want you to assume the risk of your password and private information stolen
Snapps50 (10:47:32 AM): Alright, see you tomorrow.
AIM Ricky 445 (10:47:47 AM): Have a nice day
    Snapps50 (10:47:53 AM): You too.

Like I really believe him. Contact the boss. See what happends.

I say anyone who cannot spell a few of the words he couldn't get right cannot work for a major corporation, let alone a small faction.

And the best way to solve the problem is to IM millions of people? NICE.

Ask for the phone number. If they don't answer, or refuse to give you the phone number, then they are full of shit.

Such BS. You could easily just change your password right now, and the "hackers" would lose the password and therefore be unable to "steal" your account. And if AIM got hacked, don't you think it would be in the news? It would have to leak out eventually.

This is funny stuff but one thing i dont get is why some supid AIM people want with a screenname and password.
                            1. When you send off to AIM doesnt your password and screename get sent to them.
