I used to be a sensible person like you, but then I took an arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow and another arrow andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro andanodda'arro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndraro'ndndrarodndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnwdndrnw to the brain

idk how forums work but is there a way to leave a sort of receipt of a deleted post? something that essentially replaces the original post with "post deleted. Reason: inappropriate content/toxic behavior/xyz" so that way it's a little less confusing when you look at a locked thread and see someone talking to themselves, but also remove the unsavory content?
EDIT: Ironically, would essentially editing posts with that apply instead? I don't believe non-moderators have a means to read the edit-history of a given post so editing it with the above "deleted" message maybe?
yes, you can just go hold on bub this isn't ok there was some toxic shit here that didn't need to be here ~The Staff
then there's at least a time and date reference and some semblance of a reason for anyone who decides to go looking, and it also saves some rigamarole playing the inevitable "why was X banned?" game that always happens

Reason: to actually sign the purple bit
sorry im commenting again, but I've been accused of harassing people at school when i thought i was acting reasonably. in my case it was probably racially motivated (angry black woman trope lol) but "harass" is just too vauge a word, even for people who at least try to act in good faith. at least, im trying to do that now.
it's easy to misinterpret criticism as personal attacks if someone is criticizing something you put effort into.
This is fair but usually if you're not acting maliciously, people on the outside can see that
when you're falsely accused of harassment the mods can intervene and say "this is within her right to say"
if you've actually said something bad, for me at least it comes down to "are you willing to accept that you said something bad, and have you attempted to curb this behavior"

Only staff members can see deleted posts and the reason for deleting them.
I don't know of a way that vBulletin can make a deleted post public without showing the username. Even then, that's something that would have to be discussed with the mod team. If a post was deleted, it's an indication that the thread is better off without those posts (the reasons can vary).

all else equal, rhythm gamers definitely got some specific kinds of holes in our brains not gonna lie
We enjoy pressing directions because we lack direction ourselves; the void is then filled with patterns that make sense to us in an otherwise chaotic world.
Or so my overactive imagination would have you believe
Personally I like to think the hobby of doing the same thing all day pressing the same buttons to notes and seeing flashy colours just appeals to autistic people hence our community being lolffr
I mean at least that's why I know I like it, it satisfies my autism.
