Re: The Trump Administration Is Trying to Get Rid of People Who Are Transgender
The only slightly "good" argument I've seen from people who support this is that they don't want like, people with dicks in girls bathrooms at places like highschools and stuff but like lol that's still a pretty dumb argument

Lmao I don't think you could provide less reasoning than that.
Now my post wouldn't be better though if I didn't say why. You put "good" in apostrophes for no apparent reason; is the argument good to you or is it bad ? If both, what makes it good and what makes it bad ? You say that like you have better a opinion or a more logical idea on the topic, so why don't you talk about it instead of just judging others' opinion without providing any argument...
Re: The Trump Administration Is Trying to Get Rid of People Who Are Transgender
yeah idk how barring people with dicks from bathrooms will help women or girls at all just like logistically. why do you think people will respect the rules of gendered bathrooms when they disrespect the rule of respecting women's bodies (e.g. not invading their bodies + not harassing them)

the way you define gender is likely an artifact of a time period where people believed gender perfectly correlated with sex.

Re: The Trump Administration Is Trying to Get Rid of People Who Are Transgender
Lol i put it in quotes because on the surface it seems valid but it's actually a dumb argument
Funnygrill put it better than I probably will, plus the argument solely focuses on male to female trans people but I mean the people against trans probably don't care about the female to male ones lolz, not sure though since I don't bother reading negative articles etc

this isn't a debate; you don't need evidence or an explanation for your opinion to count IMO
1. They don't, I never implied that.
2 & 4. Counts towards what lmao; if you're stating your opinion without the intent to convince someone or back up someone else's opinion then please let me know what purpose it serves.
3. Why say something so trivial; dingle can totally have his opinion and I respect it, I just pointed out that it leads to nothing and asked explicitely for more explanation on his position, which he can totally deny. That is My opinion..
@Funny: Hmm, idk if it would actually help to have set rules for bathrooms, but I believe it would be quite the controversy anyway and I prefer genderless bathrooms because it's just less of a waste of space. Then like I said I wouldn't know how to argue with someone who says that if men can go in women's bathrooms, where no cameras are, then it puts women more at risk of sexual abuse (cuz idk the numbers). The better option is probably defined by the stats, i.e. sexual assaults in existing genderless bathrooms or something along those lines.

2 & 4: counts as an opinion, and it serves the purpose of letting other people know how they feel
1: i didn't mean you specifically, i meant people in this thread in general
3:because people should be allowed to say their opinion without it being criticized

Look it might not be a debate to you but I believe it was very fair from me to ask him for explanations when he said that the argument was dumb without saying why. Anyway your post just got to me because that "opinion does not need explanation" mindset bugs me for it's triviality and lack of progress towards understanding a topic.

1. Fair enough.
3. That's just illogical. If person A is allowed to state their opinion without it being criticized, you're basically saying that some person B cannot state theirs if it criticizes A's opinion... You're saying that people should have the right to obligate others to not argue one's beliefs and that's just very bad in terms of society behavior. Like here Archowl's thread on victimhood would actually be a good read for you and I'm not saying that in a derogatory way; the vid he has posted in his OP is quite interesting on that topic.

The last 800 years have not been kind to me
Don't marry a god. Marry someone who has something interesting to say.
Re: The Trump Administration Is Trying to Get Rid of People Who Are Transgender
in any case if this law passes it means that the federal government won't recognize people who are transgender as the sex they identify as and transgender people won't be protected in terms of transgender cases by law, which means that we can be discriminated against legally (in the united states i mean)

Then they would be ignored and everyone moves on.
That's not how things work. I'm sorry, but it really does not. Unless you are in a echo chamber of people that agree with every uninformed feelings only opinion. If you cannot handle someone criticizing your opinion then just stay away from arguments/debates/whatever and post it on your facebook of friends. Most illogical thing I have read since a queenashy thread.
AS for bathrooms...
Bathrooms are bathrooms. Who cares? Sure sexual assault could happen, but it could also happen in any bathroom regardless of it being genderless, male, or female. I may disagree with a bunch of stuff transgender people say but I see no wrong with a genderless bathroom. Dumb.

I'm sorry that my post got to you, I didn't mean to offend you. I agree that opinions sometimes need explanation to be understood better; I just don't think it needs to be explained for it to be seen as a good opinion.

you shit and get out
I do feel the same about it. Though from a very preventive pov couldn't someone say that it is more suspect to see a man go in women's bathroom than in genderless bathroom ? Idk I don't think so but maybe there's a point to be made there.
