I honestly hope life gets better for you soon, but really being upset because people share their fun is silly in mostly any situation; I believe it's good attitude to see others' fun as a positive thing unless that fun is hurtful in any way to others or in specific cases where the person really might not be enjoying themself (with good reason to believe so). Maybe some do need just the coolness of their actions to be acknowledged, but that shouldn't affect you and shouldn't be your initial guess as to why they're doing what they do.

tl;dr focus on your fun, dont make suppositions about others' fun.

I hope that gives you some food for thought~

I thought society moved past the point of "smoking weed is cool guize" long, long ago lol. Like, every computer science major I personally know smokes weed, and there was that whole issue of the FBI not being able to hire any hackers because of drug tests.
