My area is totally devoid of any stops or gyms, just went out to an actual town earlier. So much everything everywhere, Pokemon at every turn. This game is actually great. Sort of like geocaching which I've been into for a bit. Kinda sucks that I need to sort of plan trips for it though, seeing as my battery just melts in a couple hours. Gonna be hooked for a while.

He's fighting the good fight. Plus, we have some guy with a 500CP vapereon, there's one pretty good reason for a start. From what they said at the start, valor's all about maxing CP, mystic about getting evolves, and instinct..... last night walking home (~11:30pm) i saw a bunch of people basically spawn camping this game, so it's certainly had an effect. the funny part to me was when i saw a bunch of people outside a museum, and my first thought was "wow this game will be like the first thing to get people my age to go to museums"Comment

If you hold down on the pokeball before you throw it, a coloured circle appears inside the regular circle around the pokemon, and starts to move. If you then throw the pokeball in a way that lands inside the smaller circle, you have a better chance to not have it break free. The smaller the circle is if you still hit it, the less chance to break free it has (also you get extra xp)
People who care more about the team balance in the area than they do about which legendary bird represents it?
It would be super awesome if the game used the same region data they use on Ingress to see how many people around you are on each team, and then gave you some incentive bonus to pick the currently smallest team so as to make them all roughly even.Last edited by devonin; 07-11-2016, 10:33 AM.Comment

Either way, come on over sometime. There are 7 Pokéstops at the mall right by my place, as well as a gym or 2.

No idea. I used the same effect on all 3 images.
Oh wait.. Might've been when I put another effect on it and changed the lighting. Instead of +120 degrees, I think it's at -60 degrees. I don't recall.

Loving this game so far. I went out with a friend tonight to catch some Pokemon and hit up different PokéStops, and it's insane to see just how many people are playing. Ended up talking with complete strangers and giving each other grief over team choices, which was a really fun change of pace for me. It's definitely not something I would have done had I not downloaded Go.
Also got to watch my friend bring down a Valor gym's level. Couldn't take down the gym though, his phone was almost dead, lol. Probably gonna have to get a battery pack sooner or later.
