I didn't realize there where even communities for commercial rhythm games other than maybe sdvx. I mean, lr2 is basically better IIDX isn't it? I mean I might be wrong never played IIDX but AFAIK its just pay to play with no user content and doesn't go to a high level like LR2/simplebms canPixl's minipack 2 is cancelledComment

Do you think there is a skill cap in being annoying? It'd be interested in seeing the act of being annoying taken to the competitive level.Last edited by benguino; 01-11-2016, 05:03 PM.AMA: http://ask.fm/benguino

Re: So apparently people are mad that Stepmania was on AGDQ
Stepmania, BMS (LR2/Osumania counts) and ITG
they're customizable. I can do so much on them and with them.
if I like pop'n controllers, I can make a gigantic pop'n controller for SM. and that's exactly what my friend and I are doing so that I can play ridiculous index 8-button double charts.
if I like 10 keys, I can use two keyboards and play keyboard pump doubles.
but on the other games, I am limited to what the game developers give me and have to train using their awkward interface layouts. a lot of songs on these games only have a burst of hard patterns anyway, so I'm spent playing 2 minutes of shit for an actual 20 seconds of content I want, whereas on say Stepmania I can just isolate that part.
there's so much versatility that I can't do on the proprietary games.Comment

This is the guy you wanna contact: https://www.facebook.com/organist.torres
I ordered the buttons and drew the prototype/dimensions, he's actually doing the woodworking and such. Since we have the same dimensions it'd be easy for him to replicate another one.Comment

dude completely out of nowhere, who I have never interacted with, comes in with a numbered list and the first point is "mmkay"

I can't conceive of a more annoying way to start a confrontation
just irrespective of this whole thing, the thought process that would lead you to confront someone by making a list and then make "mmkay" its own bullet is so bullshitty and irritating that it's worth a punch in the faceComment

For a game that's largely about self improvement (to quote Staiain during the AGDQ stream), which I wholeheartedly agree with and which is one of the main reasons why I enjoy SM, sure seems like there are quite a few pissed off people out there that can't just keep to themselves.Comment

10/10 would print and post on my refrigerator to remember this glorious moment when someone contending your statement started off with "mmkay."posted this on wall

Also his second point is laughable because the showcase was in no way shape or form projected for IIDX's sake, it was to showcase a fucking different rhythm game
