The Postal Service rock. I love the style. Very catchy.

The style of music they make could be considered Electronic-Indie-Pop I guess.

I only know of one song called something like "from great heights" or something, it's a catchy tune, and i wouldn't mind hearing more from the band.

Exactly, it's an excellent band Jewpin. I didn't think it was possible Jewpin, but now you kick even more ass in my eyes.

                        Yay!

Also, check out Dntel. It is the project that started The Postal Service.

Actually, The Postal Service is a collaboration between Dntel (not a project, but one man, Jimmy Tambernello) and Death Cab For Cutie's frontman, Benjamin Gibbard. Tambernello can't do his own lyrics or sing, so he recruits various other musicians to sing on his electronic tracks. To me, Death Cab sounds more like The Postal Service than DNTEL does. Especially "Title and Registration" and the title track from their latest album, "Transatlanticism." Both masterpieces.

The song "(This Is) The Dream Of Evan And Chan" (from Dntel's "Life Is Full Of Possibilities") disc features Benjamin Gibbard on vocals. The chemistry worked very well, and the song quickly became popular. So much so that Gibbard and Tambernello decided to work on a collaborative project together. They shipped their latest demos, music, etc. to each other via the postal service and the two of them would revise each other's stuff that way. And here we have it.

Listen to "Evan and Chan". It sounds like a Postal Service track, even though it's off Dntel's CD.

I wish this wasn't becoming such a mainstream act though. The more mainstream an artist or band becomes, the more popular they become. And the more likely they are to release a second album that is a carbon copy of the first.

By the way, This Place Is A Prison is kind of the black sheep of the disc, IMHO. My least favorite song on there.

But seriously, they are an awesome blend of genres. I won't consider them getting mainstream until I hear them on The Howard Stern Show or something.
