Re: Snow, snow, and more snow.
Well, the snow has been pretty ridiculous (I live Northeast of Boston) with almost 100 inches (254cm) in 3 weeks. Yesterday was 40°F (4.4°C) and raining, caused a bunch of flooding (not as much as I expected though), and today is -5°F (-30.5°C) with nearing -30°F (-34.4°C) wind chill so no matter where you walk it's ice. The record for snow in Boston (I wish I could give stats for my city, but I don't think they keep them as accurately) was previously 107.6 inches (273.3 cm, hah would've been great if it were 273.15) in the winter of 2005-2006.
As of February 15th, we were at 95.7 inches (243cm) and it didn't even really start until January 23rd.
And just for fun, this was my mom down by the coast where they were putting some of the snow from downtown crosswalks and storm drains (or anything else that should be cleared out). The pile is significantly larger now, and spans a parking lot of 200x300 feet (60x90m approximately) where I used to work.

Re: Snow, snow, and more snow.
Damn frozen pipes are never good, but yeah at least you don't have to eat the cost to fix themI've lived in my current house for 3 years now (near Chicago) and every winter when it gets ridiculously cold, my cold water pipes freeze up. 2 days ago my cold water pipe burst in my kitchen and flooded it while I was out of town. Came home to a flooded kitchen pretty much ruined all of the flooring. I dont mind the snow much, or the bitter cold.. this just fucking sucked.
I guess the only good that came from this is that my landlord is taking care of it. :[
I like the snow so I only hate you a little
yeah winter started really late this year but is really making up for lost ground lol. and omg that snow pile thats insane haha.Well, the snow has been pretty ridiculous (I live Northeast of Boston) with almost 100 inches (254cm) in 3 weeks. Re: Snow, snow, and more snow.
You could always be like the Massachusetts guy and ship snow to different parts of the country. He's selling six pounds of snow for $89 and a 10-pound option for $119.Comment
