            Moments like these are reasons why I don't acknowledge Valentines day as a proper holiday anymore.

            I hate valentines day, fuck it. Not that I condone sharing of love or anything, but I believe anniversaries & special days out are more special than any given day such as Valentines day which is for everyone. Call it cheap love.

                        I've experienced something similar in a few ways to that.

                        Edit: Removed the personal part because no one cares.

                        ... Anyway, point is, although some parts are similar, it doesn't look like that was the case here, because your friend was being pushy about trying to get you to leave. But there has to be something more there in the disconnect between being excited to see you and then pushing you out the door. It's always good to talk things through first.
