        it's a muscle area used for abdominal support (ab muscles) and twisting your body or moving your hips (obliques)

        it has a functional purpose so it logically would look that way after enough development regardless of subjective view of how it 'looks like', though this is independent of why people find it attractive

            as for why women find certain muscles attractive, I have no idea

            some women are shoulder kind of girls other women like biceps

            it's like the tits/ass split for men but with greater variation
