Just in case anyone is wondering, trying to play FFR with cherry mx greens is fucking killer on your fingers. 3/10 do not recommend. Time to go back to my WASD with browns to get gud.

Re: Mechanical Keyboards + FFR
I bought a piece of shit blue switch generic mech on amazon, and it wasn't even able to keep up with my taps. Tested which keys can press together, and had no problem. Untill i started playing.... #teamdontbuygenericmarkeddownshitfromamazon
Had amazing keytaps tho, so blue imo.Originally posted by CallipygianThere's always some issue you can find with the exact terminology of a game. In fact, let me here make a case that the current system has racist undertones:
Blackflags are worse than whiteflags and AAA's are indicated as yellow in R^3, suggesting that a perfect score is Asian.Comment

@Hakulyte
Reds and browns have the same actuation force the only difference between the two is that reds are linear switches and browns are tactile. Meaning that with reds all that is happening is that the switches are just going straight up and down but with browns there is a little bit of feedback so you can feel when the key is actually activated. As for blue/brown comparison, they're essentially the same thing except blues are slightly heavier and they're clicky too. Oh god that sweet click...
@RB_Spirit
Man you need to get yourself a good board. Right now my main board is a CM storm quickfire rapid tk and I love the thing to death. I think the reason that the board might now have been able to keep up with taps is because in order for a key to register you need to actuate it and then essentially let it reset then press again. So you have to make every key press clear and deliberate but thats probably just me over thinking things.
@Dynam0
Give me a bit of time to get used to these and I will post pics of #swolefingers. I guarantee that within a year I will be able to bench at least a medium sized animal on my finger tips alone. Join me in the swole revolution!
@Reincarnate
I'd be willing to make a video but I can't really even think about how to go about recording and coming up with actual good comparisons between the switches. As of right now I have greens, blues, browns, and rubber domes that I could test and probably get a good idea of how they all compare but given time I might stop being lazy enough and decide to do this with some of my free time. I'll keep you posted.
Boredom and a rekindled fascination for keyboards has led me to answer all these questions while knowing that no one will probably care but hey its something to do.Comment

Re: Mechanical Keyboards + FFR
I just use a really crappy default apple-style keyboard with modified compressed keys. My keys don't even go down, they just rest on top of the registry for each key I press. It makes figuring out if I'm pressing it or not a lot harder, but then again there is also no resistance at all for my key presses.Comment
