swag means treasure or loot. swagger means to be boastful.
swagger has been used loosely correct over the past few years but it was morphed into poser wannabes trying to say they're sexy

I think swagger's still a cool word. Nobody really says it.
Swag is just bad, though. But I haven't really seen anyone use it in the last year other than for sarcastic means.
