Your argument could easily have replaced "conspiracy" with "official explanation" and have had the same effect. You think the conspiracy theorists have loud voices that warp people's minds? What makes you think the government doesn't do the same thing on the daily? We know they lied about spying on us, and we know they lied about Benghazi, so it's not like they wouldn't lie to us about anything else.

If you're complaining about how close-minded the conspiracy theorists are, you should be sure you're not close-minded yourself. I think anyone (on either side) who won't consider an argument "just because" is part of the problem you're describing.

Of course it's close-minded, but that's kind of the point I was trying to get across. It's good to be open, but it can be exploited if it's too open, thus why I say people are manipulatable.

I guess it is a try-hard post, choof. It was just something I had on my mind at the time.
