All the others are just conveniences to make stuff cooler and easier. Not reasons why IE is bad. IE doesnt have these cool things, but who needs them? Are they nessesary? No.
People have such hard problems with spyware and popups, when the solution is so easy.

You people take so much for granted. Be glad you have access to the internet.

Trust me on this one, guys. I never saw a problem with IE either, just some mild annoyances, until I got Opera. Opera opened my eyes to the evilness of IE, and I'll never ever go back. I can't stand IE or anything else. Trust me people, just give it a try. I promise you'll thank me later.

If you want to use IE, fine, but IE you have to download a lot of thing to protect it, like you have to buy condoms, but Mozilla and stuff, already have the condom built in, so it is awesome. Google Toolbar...Mozilla also has on built in and it doesnt take up a whole 'nother row...

Opera sucks ass. I hate it.

I'm fine with IE. All the stuff he listed just seems to be stupid little features that I'll never use, and popups aren't really an annoyance compared to the IM's I get. At least with popups, I can close those right away and they don't come back. >=\

Personally I have more of a grudge towards AIM.

I've heard lots of people with complaints about Opera crashing on them and occasionally lagging from bloated code or whatnot, so I decided to go the Mozilla route. We had used it in my Electronic Publications class, so I already knew it was A) faster and b) cleaner than IE.

It may be yours but it's the only one I could screenshot at the time for an example. You're not the only one that has the little image bar thing, LOTS of people have it. Jewpin has one too =\

When I have a problem with IE then I might consider switching. I felt like adding a few comments onto the list of why IE is apparently crap.

1. Who cannot download the Google toolbar? Even the most restricted access student at my school can, and he can install it. No excuse for dial-up either. I know I had it downloaded in less than a minute on dialup when I had it.

2. http://toolbar.google.com Get the right one?

3. Skins... Why? I have a winXP skin that fixes everything to my liking. No need.

4. How can you work faster? It has more code and requires more system memory to run. Maybe you just screwed up your IE, or the other browser takes over it when you install, like RealPlayer tries to do.

5. IRC sucks. mIRC was only good for scripting.

6. Tabbed windows for what reason? I find Alt+Tab to be much more efficient than having to move the mouse.

7. Reason for support? Negatory. Learn how to use a computer maybe.

8. Control clicks with the google toolbar allows needed popups.

9. Same as google toolbar.

10. How about you set your downloads to your desktop and move them from there? OMG SO HARD.

11. Set history to 0 days. If you have something there from yesterday, throw away your computer. If you need to hide something (you sick freak) then just clear temporary internet files.

12. Never crashed IE in my life. 10 years now.

13. ... Try using one password for every site. Microsoft also has a built-in feature in its OS for password remembering.

14. Can't argue with this one. Maybe if you just set it desktop you wouldn't have to wait an extra .02 seconds to click OK.

15. You can delete temporary files anytime you want with any browser. Or no browser. Documents and Settings...

16. I've never heard of that either. Everything is prompted. If you check to automatically do the selected action every time, then you have a problem going.
