Re: Let the shutdown begin
quite ironic that the message for the videos related to Reincarnate's post is
Ironic isn't the right word to be using here, but icbf to find the right one right now. This video is not available from your location. In case you can't give up your free health care and move to America, you can watch them at the TheComedyNetwork.ca
Kind of wanted to know what they were but don't have time to hunt them down atmComment

Re: Let the shutdown begin
Um, the first site says that MSNBC has more opinion pieces than straight news. Doesn't say what those opinions are.
(also, MSNBC has hosted Tony Perkins a staggering 23 times)Originally posted by thesunfanI literally spent 10 minutes in the library looking for the TWG forum on Smogon and couldn't find it what the fuck is this witchcraft IGR

Re: Let the shutdown begin
This is your argument? Computer glitches and veteran's affairs?Instead, Stewart was up to his usually name-calling Wednesday night, ignoring the computer glitches that are quickly the hallmark of Obamcare and blasting the GOP as if a second party didn't even exist inside the Beltway.
Stewart railed against the GOP for supposedly ignoring the most vulnerable affected by the government shutdown but ignored the elderly veterans who tried to pay respects to their fellow soldiers, not to mention Reid saying he doesn't care about sick kids during a nationally televised interview.
Here's a link of my own: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cherry_picking_(fallacy)
This doesn't make any sense if you're comparing the validity and lack-of-bias of FOX news to CNN/MSNBC rofl. Where the comparison to al jazeerah? NPR? PBS? Reuters? Politico? PopSci for christ's sakeLast edited by Litodude; 10-4-2013, 01:13 AM.Originally posted by t-rogdori finally got a weed hookup again and i texted the dude asking where to meet him tomorrow and the dude just said "out west"

Re: Let the shutdown begin
"not to mention Reid saying he doesn't care about sick kids during a nationally televised interview."
See context:
The Atlantic covers news, politics, culture, technology, health, and more, through its articles, podcasts, videos, and flagship magazine.
This is what I'm talking about. These far right-wing talking points are almost always nonsense. They have to quote-mine/lie/take things out of context in order to make their argument.
Anyways, regarding your article, I was (not so) surprised to see it suddenly end. It quite literally has no real argument. It's just complaining that Jon is making fun of the GOP again.
It mentions that Jon invoked lies by omission and tightly edited clips but did not offer any examples or evidence. And if I were to ask you for that additional context, you would not be able to provide it, either. There's no valid defense for this shutdown. It's economic terrorism.Last edited by Reincarnate; 10-4-2013, 09:17 AM.Comment

Re: Let the shutdown begin
all that study shows is that MSNBC, FOX and CNN are all shitty as news outlets. this is not news.
secondly if by showing that MSNBC has more opinion than news you think you're somehow letting FOX off of the line, you're wrong.

Re: Let the shutdown begin
each of those networks have opinion shows. that means i can watch fox news for actual news instead of msnbc which can't help but throw bias into news segments
like seriously if i mentioned i watch msnbc and read thinkprogress/dailykos on the reg you guys wouldnt second guess me or give me flak and would consider my new skewed opinions (as a result of that garbage) as valid. you really would
