I would like to host FFR's first Rates Tournament. I'd like to run a three or four division tourny where your score is the Rate you can achieve the target score for a song. The songs picked will not have large difficulty spikes and will be below in difficulty what that division would typically play.

I am short on credits however, so here's what I'll do.

You post me a reasonable task and a bounty, and I will attempt it. They can be FFR or real life things, but nothing too rediculous. If you just want to donate, that's alright too. All credits received will be listed in the OP once it is made. If some circumstance prevents me from hosting it, I will return all the credits.

I am also Auctioning off the title of the tournament and the right to name the divisions.

Donated some credits. I'd really like to see a rates tournament, and the proposed scoring system sounds pretty interesting too. ^^

some completely not crazy challenges for you.

1. mash full combo any public song in FFR. your credit reward will be the number of boos in your score. you must submit your screenshot upside-down. please only use velocity or legacy, since r^2 and r^3 give you life for averages which makes mashing just a little bit too easy.

2. choose one of these tetris variants: hell tetris, tetoris, 1d tetris v2. submit a screenshot of your best line count or score. credit reward: 1000 per line in hell tetris, or 2000 per line in tetoris, or the square root of your score on 1d tetris.

3. pop some bubble wrap. choose the medium sized bubbles (196), manual mode. screenshot your score at the end. your credit reward is 1000x your number of bubbles per second.

4. write "I MUST NOT WASTE PAPER" in very very big letters on a standard sized piece of paper. do this on as many pieces of paper as you wish. number all the pages in order. then take a photo of all the pieces of paper you used. post it here. i will give you 100 credits for each piece of paper.

5. vacuum the grass in a public park for 3 minutes. 4000 credits.

6. get 2 friends to try to break this record on recordsetter. your credit reward is 50x your score, which i will double to 100x if you actually beat the record. video needed.

How about this for a scoring system: Score achieved * rate on which the score was achieved. So if you AAA Dot Matrix Hero on 1.2 rate, that's 50000 * 1.2 = 60000 points.

This might be able to be abused with really high rates, and I'd like people to still feel like they are still PAing the file, in some cases with that set up you can mash a score and get a better outcome because of a really high rate.

The idea crossed my mind, but I was afraid that set up would get abused.

Beat this game in under 7 minutes for 10k credits. 10k additional credits for each minute you shave off that. For reference, my best time is 2:47

(I realize the current highscore is 2 billion but still :P)
