No...the tether basically keeps him secured to the wire so he'd just hang there. I'm pretty sure the only reason he used a tether for Niagara Falls was because Canadian media wouldn't want to broadcast some dude dying on national tv if something were to go wrong. That and like tons of kids were going to watch it idk
This will be interesting for sure though!
The Wallenda's have a long history with the high-wire btw:
It says this guy was 73. I feel like if he was at a more reasonable age he would have been able to grab the wire. Still way to old to be doing something like that.

Damn, this is gonna be sick.
I like the warning discovery channel had for the beginning of the show:
"Do not attempt anything you're about to see at home"
Yeah, because I'm going to anchor a wire between two points and walk across the grand canyon -.-
dont look down, dont look down, dont look down, dont look down.......
I love the way the three gopro cams are positioned whenever he walks. Always got one hanging around his neck looking STRAIGHT DOWN, and two more on both left and right of his balance pole. But this time, the gopro that's looking down's going to be looking waaaaaaay down! I get the chills when I see those downward shots, no joke.
**If you are watching that link in the OP, direct your attention to cam 4 when the walk starts.**
Also why is "summon" in quotation marks as usually that signifies an alternate meaning like for example last night I "visited" your mother but it really means last night I "fucked her in the ass" so exactly what is the subtext of "summon" because I am not sure I am comfortable with the implications

im usually the "nice guy" around these parts.. but this is bad, and you should feel bad. i would rather dip my balls in honey and hover them over a red ant hill than to ever hear such butchered crap.
