Re: GeoGuessr
Averaging 9,000 points/game. (my best guess was by only 68 meters ^^)
Most of the time, I can guess the country/state by looking at particular vegetation, road signaletic, architecture, names, topography or even type of vehicles.
You have to be lucky when they put you in the middle of nowhere.Last edited by noname219; 06-5-2013, 07:51 PM.Comment

Re: GeoGuessr
There :

(proof)
Round 1 : Near Kenora, ON. Lots of signs to find some infos and a unique wood bridge. Nothing hard yet. (0.084 km off)
Round 2 : Craco, Italy. An old medieval italian city. Cool views. (0.076 km off)
Round 3 : In the middle of Laponia in Finland. Hardest round I think. Was on a one-track road in the forest. First useful pannel was some distance with two Finland towns (Kaamanen and Ivalo) so I was able to backtrack where I was. Second useful pannel was a house address. (2.942 km off - had to move a lot to find something)
Round 4 : Altares, Terceira, Azores. Nothing really hard there, found a church with a blue roof and some more text in the city. (0.075 km off)
Round 5 : Near Waco, TX. Another hard round. Main problem I had was the crappy quality cam. The only text I was able to read was the name of some ranch, a useful Texas Flag and a transmission tower. (0.998 km off)
Took ~30 minutes. Good luck to anyone who want to beat that score.

Re: GeoGuessr
Wow, this is really fun! I think I'm gonna be awake a couple extra hours playing this! xD
Here's my score for my first game, I got 12888. The "D" mark I actually looked up, it's a little town in Russia called Totma, smaller than the one I live in, and it's very beautiful. I might have to visit someday.

2nd game: 10203. I got screwed when I thought some random road in Australian backcountry was Montana. But I got saved when the next picture was a big sign that said "Shark Bay World Heritage Area"
3rd game: 12660. Last picture was a sandy farm road in the absolute middle of nowhere. Guessed W. Australia, was actually Botswana.
4th game: 20820! Most of them were easy (signs in French and Dutch) and I got within 100 miles on all but the first one where what I thought was Missouri was actually Pennsylvania.
5th game: 9969... really bad... I thought Morocco was Spain, I thought Russia was Czech Republic, I thought Denmark was the UK, I thought Colorado was British Columbia, and I had a really far-off guess in Brazil.Last edited by Crashfan3; 06-6-2013, 02:39 AM.
