a2p, don't let your sister's words bring you down. be strong. I think you should let your dad know what you think of him and how much he means to you. I don't believe you should hate your sister, though. I agree that her verbal assault was a poor decision and was almost definitely unmerited. maybe the storm will pass; emotional outbursts are often not a great indicator of one's true thoughts. if things don't get better, you could still be approachable and have a pretty normal sibling relationship with her. just don't be unclear as to whose side you're on.
also, imo, you should save the booze for happier times. tough it out for now until your mind has cleared. you know you're not a burden. keep your chin up!

Am I the only one who thinks this is a woefully incomplete story?
Not that I am doubting A2P here, but I feel like there are so many more facts needed to figure out who's being reasonable and who isn't.
e.g. if the sister chose to major in something useless and go to a pricey school even though her dad warned her he wouldn't be able to help her, then she can go fuck herself
but if she's majoring in something practical/making a sound financial choice, and perhaps the father agreed to help but went back on his word or something partway in, etc, I could see why the sister would be pissed
just giving examples but I always feel like context is uber importantComment

I assume your father doesn't make 6 figures, not sure about surrounding details like where she is going to school though.
Just to give some perspective I have a friend with parents making much more than 6 figures and they are still making him pay and or take out loans for half of it to teach him responsibility. You can't always expect a handout, especially if your father is in no position financially to give one.
Myself included have had to pay half of college tuition and took a break because internet poker was shut down and my dad retired and can no longer afford to pay half. I'm not going to go around shit talking him because he can't pay my schooling.
It sounds like she is definitely stressing about the student loans and looking for someone to take it out on.

I just read everyone's reply here. Thank you...thank you for your support. It's good to know I have friends here. For the record, I'm not suicidal, and I don't hate my family, not even my sister. I feel bad calling her an ungrateful bitch, but I was feeling emotional. Although she was out of order with her comments, I know she's been stressed out as well.
She's an English major, and works at a public school. Not the most useless job in the world. As for her loan situation, I'll be honest - I really don't have all the details surrounding that. All I know is that dad can't pay off the entire debt, and it's stressing her out.Comment

At least you have a caring father, bro. i havent seen my biological father in many years and I have no idea where he is or what hes doing. All I know is that he has a family of his own to take care of, and even if I do find out where he is... showing up out of the blue, trying to connect with him again... for all i know he has never even told his family about me. I seriously dont know whether seeing him is a good or bad idea.

Family finances/relationships can be pretty complicated.
Sometimes you need to know a little bit more than "sister's bitching at dad for not paying her college loans even though he paid for child support and plane tickets," especially when A2P's drunk/on tilt.
Otherwise all you can really offer is "YEAH MAN HANG IN THERE, TALK SHIT OUT WITH HER," when really it can help to know what exactly he should talk to her about and what some possible courses of action would be. Of course, he probably knows what to talk to her about without input from anyone else here, but my point stands either way.
I just typically dislike "hang in there" type advice because it feels like non-response to me, but w/e. Different strokes.
