Today I heard the news that Kaoru Kimura (Betwixt & Between) passed away about 2 weeks ago. People close to him kept it quiet and posted about it on facebook today.

Some of you may know him for songs such as 12 Little Fragments of Silence and City of Traitors, others of you may not have heard of him. Either way, he was an amazing freeform producer, a pioneer of the japanese dance scene and a really friendly guy to chat with.

I've heard about this guy yeah, I first saw him from his "Disturbed Mind" song.

I'm also interested in the cause of death, that's very unfortunate.

The people close to him have not given out any details on his death. I talked with a few people who know the cause but do not know if it's up to them to give out such information.

Was going to ask this guy for permission to use his songs a week or so ago...

Really sucks to hear that he died a week before that. I really enjoyed his songs.

He set up 2 labels of his own but most of his music is signed to other labels. Technically it's still possible, but I reckon it would sound disrespectful towards B&B and the labels to ask for permission on B&B songs so soon after his death.

What a shame, he was really one of my favorite Japanese "doujin" producers out there.
Really shocked to see him die relatively young and would like to stay informed about this story.

I'll dedicate some time of my day to listen to his entire album (Nanosecond Eternity) today. RIP.
