I honestly envy you--I would love to try out a job in the food/service industry in the future. It must be interesting to meet all these people, hahaa.
    Yea it's sad :/

And haha, I'm a waitress. I actually had some foreign people today. Two I think were Japanese, the one girl didn't speak english at all. Then I had a table of guys that spoke very little English lol. It was interesting. But yea it's okay, but you deal with a lot of BS in the food/service industry.

Well here's how I help humanity:

Being Canadian, we often have a problem of leaving the door open for each other too much. Sometimes we'll stand there awkwardly because we no longer know who has the right of way and who was holding the door for who. It's a little silly sometimes. It has become a reflex now to just hold the door open for 4-5 people in a row.

I enjoy making senior citizens' lives a little better every day by going that extra little mile to make their last years enjoyable, since my work is 99% of the time the last place they'll be before they pass away.

fuuuuuuuuuuck I thought this was just me being retarded and not knowing how to stop being a door holder. I usually hold it open until I see an opening/gap in the people.

Anyway the fact that people are doing nice things during the Canadian night (even if it's over in Korea) makes me feel a little bit better about the situation of the world somehow. I'll try my hardest to find some way to make someone happy today, because you succeeded, Moches.

I forcefully delegate the responsibility but not before apologizing for something that isn't my fault.

lol whereas kommi might close it on #6, I feel a huge amount of guilt if I do. It forces me to hold it open-- maybe forever.

It's lunchtime and I still haven't done anything crazy nice yet. I might screw up and not do anything DDD:

Hold the door open for the person behind you. Make sure that person is a good 12 steps back from you. Make yourself smile as you watch them hurry to get to the door and then thank you for it.

I do this all the time and its so nice to see them smile and thank you for taking time out of your day to do it. I also feel warm inside when people do it for me.

Just held open the door for someone today at college (I always feel the need to do this) and they seemed rather pleased
That's also a good way to start a conversation with somebody if you or they are interested btw.

Things I didn't do but thought about it and didn't get a chance:

-Made a note in Civics to stuff in a History book. The person in history would see the note and it would say something to make them remember to smile. I couldn't think of anything without it coming off as fake or cheesy and ran out of time

-Had 75c in my pocket and heard that some guy owed someone 60c. I was going to anonymously put the money on that guy's desk but it slipped my mind.

-Buy a cookie for my school's radio team. I discarded the idea because A) the door would be locked, and B) if it wasn't locked chances would be high that someone is in there. I am not supposed to be in there under any circumstances. lmao

                        Things I DID do:

-Messaged a friend-- she knows which one-- telling her to have a beautiful day
-Held the door open for a bunch of people
-As I was leaving the library I held open the door for a teacher who had no hands free
-Gave people who wanted to hug me a chance even if I didn't necessarily like them. Meh, free girl hugs lol

I probably did other things. But I don't think they are important enough. Even these ones are just small things that I do every day. I want to do something awesome in secret to make someone happy, but I'm having a hard time thinking of stuff. I'll try again tomorrow.

                        Sums up my day today:

I got a 21/20 on my Astronomy quiz today, teacher allowed me to give the point to the girl sitting to my left who got an 18/20, now 19/20. She seemed pretty happy and thanked me for it. Made me feel pretty good. I've got something planned for later, but it takes timing.

When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

I really like this idea, but I'm running into the same problem: unless you reallly know the recipient well, you might end up writing something generic/fake. Still thinking about a good way to implant this one. Maybe we need to work on a how-to manual?

It's just about the same thing as shoving notes into lockers, which I also thought about, but didn't see how it would work out without it taking away from the meaning (mass produced messages -> less effect)

A how-to on writing anonymous messages to random people would be very useful.

Other than that there's not much besides labour that you can do, which is often times more effective than purchases. For example, cleaning a hallway before the janitor gets there is a good idea, but the only problem is getting the brooms

edit: actually with the lockers and notes you could write a bunch of messages and stuff them in every 3-5 lockers. If people share the messages they will most likely get a different message anyway!
