My hand is swollen

Welp. Story time.

Yesterday, I was at the beach. Lovely day. Went out for a swim with family, stayed in the water for maybe 30 minutes to 1 hour. Got out, dried off, tanned a little bit, and then went for dinner. Upon arriving at dinner, I felt the space between my index finger and my thumb to be a little sore. Thinking it was a bruise, I ignored it. Later that night, my hand started to swell up. I saw a spot and thought it was just a mosquito bite so I left it alone. I went to bed and my sister told me that throughout the night, I had been scratching the spot very often. the next morning, I woke up to find it had swollen to a bigger size. I told my parents and they were worried. I went to the pharmacist and they told me to put some cream on it. I've put the cream on twice and it hasn't gotten better. I think it's gotten worse. It's swollen up to about double the size of my other hand. I cannot make a fist anymore and when I put my index, middle, and ring fingers up to make the number 3, I can't touch my pinky with my thumb.

Story's done. I think that's about it. Here's a picture. Might take another picture but you can see the size, colour, and shape difference of the hands.
Anyone know what I can do?

just kidding, try taking some ibuprofen / benadryl and see if it helps. you might have some sort of infection or something, I've had similar things happen before but they eventually went away. if it gets much worse i'd go to the doctor, they might prescribe you meds thatll work better. maybe put a cold press or heat press on it to help with swelling. but yeah, in my case I had a splinter or a bite, and it usually took a couple weeks to completely go away

edit: it usually does get worse before it gets better, but if it gets progressively worse you should def get it checked out

Try rubbing one out with your left hand instead, maybe it'll be muscular instead.

All I can think of is maybe you got stung by a Jellyfish, sea anemone or coral.

If there's localized swelling, tenderness or itching, an over-the-counter antihistamine like Benadryl will help. Hydrocortisone cream can reduce swelling. Take acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen for the pain.

Ibuprofen helps reduce swelling too. I had to take a ton of it for the swelling when I (more or less) dislocated my jaw.

Added a couple more pictures for comparison. I put 0.5% and 1% hydrocortisone on it today and put an ice pack on it for about half an hour. Nothing. I'm gonna take some tylenol and then go to bed and see if there's any changes tomorrow but right now it feels like my hand is about to explode. the skin is all rubbery and feels like it's stretched tight. It feels like if I squeeze hard enough into a fist, my skin will tear. :S

I can see a spot where there was a bite but it doesn't look like it has an opening. There's also a bite on my index finger between the first and second part.

Your hand shows resemblence to this.. not trying to freak you out or anything but immediately go to a doctor when you can.

Do you have a lot of pain or anything like that?

It only looks like that red/white when I make a fist but that's only because i'm pushiung the blood away. It doesn't hurt unless I put my hands to my side or have it facing down. When it does that, the blood kinda just rushes to my hand and makes it hurt.

If that was a jellyfish/coral sting, that must have been one hell of a jellyfish. Never seen swelling that rampant and widespread from stinging wildlife around my area, maybe shit's way worse in your parts? (marine wildlife near me in New England is not particularly hardcore, to be fair)
Possibly also an allergic reaction, who knows
