My name is Wilson and I am 21 years old. I am residing near Albany, New York. I am currently an undergraduate student pursuing graduate study in math. I am commonly known for my disgusting admiration of math on this site.

- What does a typical day for you consist of?

My day usually consists of me playing games like FFR and Crossfire, studying math on my free time, hanging out with friends, and working at a Chinese restaurant as a cashier.

- Video games aside, do you have any hobbies? play any instruments?

I would considering singing an instrument and I do this out of my enjoyment. I also play violin for about 8 years and self taught piano, but as impressive as this sounds, I am actually still an amateur. Besides playing instruments, I enjoy playing sports especially racket sports like tennis, badminton, etc., solving Sudoku puzzles, and writing lyrics and poems.

- How long have you been playing FFR/stepmania, and how often do you play in a week?

As of now, I have been playing FFR actively for three years, but I don't see myself playing this game very often nowadays. In a week back in the days when I was active, we're talking about 2-3 hours each day (~21-22 hours a week). Nowadays I spend 30 minutes to an hour per week.

- Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)

Legacy, as75, 1.9x, downscroll.

- Do you have any warmup routines, or have any silly/odd way of warming up before you play?

FFR has always been a game for me, so my warmups usually consist of playing easy songs for fun. After being more alert, I tackle the harder songs.

- What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?

Notably, obtaining my first FGO AAA last summer (Ketsarku Mozgalom) was the moment when I started to realize that hard work really pays off. From this moment on, I've realized that it's not necessarily the individual scores that reflect my achievements, but rather the combination of all of my scores. Looking back at what I was able to do, it was enlightening to see how much I can improve from the very moment when I couldn't FC an 8.

- Do you have any personal FFR/SM goals you have set for yourself?

Honestly, I have achieved most of the goals I have planned. To say the least, I am very satisfied with the outcome of my hard work. I suppose the only goal I have left is to quit FFR now that I have other goals to focus on in life. (We have many stories where people who quit FFR would normally come back at some point)

Kind of wanting to go more in-depth/change up a bit on my reviews. So here it goes.

- My name is Alexander Sides, 17 years old (turning 18 in February) and currently residing in North Carolina, U.S.A. Going into my senior year of high school, a bit of an honors student, classes that are being planned on taken are Honors Physics, Honors/AP Calculus, Honors English IV, AP Statistics, Geography, French I and II. About 95% of the time, you'll see me as a relaxed and chill person, I'm not all for ranting or arguing with people. If you come and meet up with me, you'd probably be able to tell that I'm very secluded and shy.

What does a typical day for you consist of?
- Wake up, eat, work out, computer, sleep. Rinse and repeat. I really need to get out of the house. :/

- Usually would be in the mood for drawing or writing a poem, or doing any strategy puzzles and such.

How long have you been playing FFR/stepmania, and how often do you play in a week?
- I've been playing Stepmania for 5 years now and FFR for 4 years. Currently, I play 1 to 3 hours a day, mostly right now I'm stepping a song/finishing WIPs. I'm very close to taking a break at the moment.

Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)
- For Stepmania, speed mod is at C775 (might increase it soon) and keys are WE[] and WERP[] for solo. For FFR, everything from SM applies except for speed of course, which I use 2.1x. Other settings for FFR, I use the Stepmania noteskin and keep combo hidden.

Do you have any warmup routines, or have any silly/odd way of warming up before you play?
- I just play something rather easy for me that would get me warmed up, mainly streams or jump/handstreams.

What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
- I've achieved quite a lot of Stepmania achievements. Not to be a braggart, but according to Staiain's World Records page on his wiki I have 93 world records (should be a lot more but no one has updated the list in forever). For FFR, only getting to average rank 1 was the only achievement for me.

Do you have any personal FFR/SM goals you have set for yourself?
- Just getting more quads on Stepmania overall and trying to AAA certain files on FFR I should have gotten quite a while ago.

I do not play any instruments. I prefer sports over music, especially hockey and tennis. I also enjoy watching most sports.

I've been playing for 5 years or so, but I didn't play any during the downtime, and I have stopped playing twice for a long time, both times after getting FGO AAAs (lol). Might get back in the game for the official. I currently don't play much though.

My speedmod is 2.1x, I use keys zx.é (zx./ :P), I play either on velocity engine (delta noteskin) or R² (FFR orbular noteskin), I ALWAYS play with dark on and upscroll.

-Do you have any warmup routines, or have any silly/odd way of warming up before you play?
When I was still playing (this winter), I use to warm my hands up on top of the fireplace. I would then go play some FGOs and would be good to go for a good night.

-What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
My AAA on Nomima Nuda Tenemus (whatever NNT stands for) is by far my best achievement. Took everyone by surprise in the scores thread too.

Hi, my name is Richie and I'm 18. I recently graduated from high school and going to college for a degree in Cyber Defense. I live in Michigan, USA. That's the state where it's warm one day and cold as hell the next.

- What does a typical day for you consist of?
I usually wake up at around 9AM - 11AM. I make some breakfast and I go on the computer to see what's up. I usually watch anime or watch vocaloid concerts. I would run errands for my parents or go outside if it's nice out.

- Video games aside, do you have any hobbies? play any instruments?
I used to play the Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, and the Baritone in high school. I also fix computers for people from time to time.

I've been playing FFR for about 4 years now (3 of those years being inactive on the forums.). I play usually 4/7 days of the week.

No I do not. If I do then easy songs will become nightmares to AAA.


- What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
Well, I made a team with Reuben_tate and revived a movement that died with the crash. I hosted 3 successful tournaments. I finally have 800+ FCs (Now if I can only get that many AAAs.).

I don't really set goals. I just play to have fun.

Hello peoples. My name would be Christopher, and I am currently 23 and will be 24 in August. I live about 1/2 east of Albany, New york in a town called Petersburg.

- What does a typical day for you consist of?
I get woken up at about 6am when my newphew decides he needs to go to the bathroom and he runs on his heels so he basically is the household alarm system. I procrastinate untill around 7am then get up and aquire my first cup of coffee. . After my sister comes down I talk to her for a bit and see what the days agenda looks like, and go from there. I check the FFR forums from my ipod touch regularly throughout the day and job hunt in the spare time. I currently dont have a job because of some stupid mistakes that i am in the process of fixing. :/

I used to play the trumpet in highschool, and i had an electric guitar untill my friend-at-the-time sold it for drug money :/

Ive been playing for over 5 years, and i try to play at least an hour a day so i dont lose a lot of skill.

I'm Andy, just turned 20, and I live in Toronto, Ontario Canada. I go to college for HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and I'm a licenced Gas 3 Technician.

When I'm off work and it's early in the day I'll play sm for a couple hours with some qts over skype. I also go rollerblading from time to time. When it gets later on in the day I'll probably play League or go out to parties. (and regret the pictures the next day)

Rollerblading is defs one. I like playing shinny in the winter.

Been playing ffr since '06 and i've been on and off for a while. Ever since the site came back from being offline I've been going strong. I play sm everyday for at least 2 hours, haven't been as motivated.

I use velo engine, my speedmod is 1.875 upscroll, and I use xc,.

Playing solo is usually the best way to warm up so I've used that for a while or I'll start with some files in Disbalance 3 to warm up my speed. On ffr I'd start with 10s and then ease into FMOs when my fingers feel warmed up.

- What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
On FFR I AAAd 8 VCs one of which was Creative Happy and have about 5 FMO sdgs

My goal is to AA Quadrasphinx on 1.2 and to FC Kasta Sten (zag)

You all know me as MrRubix -- 25 years old, residing in Manhattan (NYC), NY. I graduated from uni a couple years ago.

What does a typical day for you consist of?
I work, so the daily routine is fairly... routine. I either come home after work, or strike out into the city to enjoy all it has to offer.

I'm a major foodie and enjoy sampling just about every restaurant that I can. My girlfriend and I have even flown out to visit famous restaurants all over the nation. Outside of that, I'm a huge nerd who enjoys programming/math type subjects (I have 100% on Project Euler, which is something maybe only 10 people around the globe -- at any given time -- have) even though I am a total idiot. I also love puzzles and art, despite neglecting those hobbies for some time now. Work pretty much consumes a fair chunk of my time nowadays.

How long have you been playing FFR/stepmania, and how often do you play in a week?
I don't play any more, but I'm an old-schooler. I started playing DDR in the late 90's and then hopped onto DWI in late 2000/early 2001, which was over a decade ago. I was in middle school at the time. I honestly miss that era because the community was a different beast compared to today's (these was a lot less drama). People were still discovering new limits and possibilities with the game, and it was awesome to watch the entire industry evolve. When I used to play, I probably put in more hours than I'd care to admit, let alone calculate.

Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)
I've used DFJK/QSLP setups, mainly. For FFR, I used speedmod 1.75x all the time. In Stepmania, usually mid-700 CMod or so, although it really depended on the song.

Not really.

What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
I had Average Rank 1.0 on several occasions. I was also the first to AAA a song with 0-framers (Chrono Trigger) and figure out how they work, the first to pass Vertex Beta vROFL, the first to AAA an FGO on the site, and the first to AAA many difficult songs. Sprite and I also collaborated together and gave rise to offline engines.

I love to run. I've slacked a bit lately, but I still love it. I also play a few instruments, the main one being guitar, which I've played for... Almost 6 years.

I've been in touch with rythm games for a while (back to 2006 with Frets on Fire, and April 2008 with FFR), but I consider having started to play seriously in Spring 2009 with that flash game called "Guitar Geek" (4keys, downscroll), then moved around some flash games and downloaded Stepmania at the very end of that same year, which I've played until joining FFR in February 2011.

I slacked on how much I play since I've gotten so ****ing busy lately. I play like 2 hours of SM/FFR each a week right now. But I played a lot much this winter.

- Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)

I play spread and Downscroll, exclusively with the Legacy engine on low quality. Speedmod varies lots between 2x and 2.25x, as keys do, depending on what keyboard I use.

Nope... But I'll often whore Do I Smile?, Reality, Necropotence and One Minute Waltz to warm up properly.

- What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?

Not yet. Pretty soon I'll get that Jackhammer Madness FC and that Reincarnation (challenge) pass with only one hand, but other than that... I can constantly vibrate through Death Piano and Crowdpleaser's megatrills with the FC, which is not bad I guess.

My name is Asher and I'm currently 21 years old. I'm from Texas, but right now I'm living in Oklahoma City because that's where I'm stationed - I'm part of the United States Air Force.

- What does a typical day for you consist of?
If I do not wake up at some absurd time in the morning to go running, my normal day consist of me waking up around 6:30 AM and slowly getting myself ready for work. I'm definitely not a morning person at all, but I like to pretend I am. I usually stay at work for at least 7 hours and then make my way back home into my bed for a nap. (usually 30 minutes max) After that, I usually am playing SM, photoshopping, or even playing FFR.

- Video games aside, do you have any hobbies? play any instruments?
I would definitely say basketball, and photoshopping are my real hobbies. I started photoshopping about 5 months ago...mostly got my inspiration from artist like WxH, Darknesslight, condoct, etc.

- How long have you been playing FFR/stepmania, and how often do you play in a week?
I actually would say I started SM in 2003. I was a index player, and only played stupid shit from bemanistyle.com. (stupid as in files that were off sync or made by amature step artist). I later on discovered FFR in 2004, but I really didn't play it much at all. In the beginning, SM/FFR really was just a game I played when I was bored since my main focus was Counterstrike and Maplestory at the time. Now that those games have gone to shits, I pretty much play this because of nostalgia haha.

As in terms of how much I play SM/FFR, probably way too much. If I don't have work, I could play Stepmania/FFR up to 6 hours a day. There has been times I've literally played over 40 hours a week. If I don't get that type of free time, I usually just play 3 hours a day.

- Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)
I used to have a very wide spread, but now I'm using dfkl.
I use R^2 and my speed mod is 2.375.

- Do you have any warmup routines, or have any silly/odd way of warming up before you play?
Not really. I like to play a few of my favorite songs from the Red Fraction pack, and then I start SM training.

- What are some of your notable FFR/SM achievements you have accomplished that you are most proud of?
I'm happy with all my accomplishments but I would say none of them are really notable because I haven't reach my ultimate goal just yet. Most of my inspiration from players like OWA, Zyphoror, Eze, Staiain, Razor, and Dossar.
Not only are they great players, they are good friends as well.

I would love to be a top D6 player. Right now I'm D5 haha.

My name is Katie. I am actually 20 years old (the forum age is wrong because I like to make myself a year younger LOL) and I am currently a pharmacy student over at TSU. I live in Katy, Texas (located in the USA) however I wish I was living in Canada because the food over there is much healthier and that the people there (compared to the US) much more respectful and well-mannered.

What does a typical day for you consist of?

Mon/Wed/Fri: Wake up at 5am to go for a 15 minute walk to the gym and do squats, deadlifts, pullups, dips and pushups. Then I go home, shower, groom, and cook egg whites with fish with a bunch of random veggies. From there, it is usually random activities from 9am-12pm like watching anime, browse internet, tackle Byron etc. From 12pm-3pm, I am usually over at the library making sure that my studies are in check (since summer tends to do that to most people). After library, I go back home and fix myself some chicken breast, more fish and more streamed veggies. After lunch, I am usually lazy for the whole entire day and do unproductive stuff like play a shitload of video/computer games, watch more anime/hentai, and just chill with my friends. I head to bed no later then 12am! (Okay...except Fridays LOL)

Tues/Thurs: Wake up at around 7am to eat, shower and get ready for work. I work from 8am-2pm then I head home and fix up lunch and then I am lazy again until 12am!

Saturday: I usually wake up at a random time depending on what I did last night. I go shower, cook my buddies breakfast and then chill with them for about an hour or so. After that, we usually go our separate ways and meet up back home at around 6-7pm. What I usually do is spent time with Byron at the mall/arcade/movies/family/whatever and then we usually head back home earlier then anyone else. While we wait for them, we are usually doing our own things until they get back. Once they are here, WE HAVE A NERD/GEEK PARTY and we invite the usual people over to our house to just chill, drink, play video/computer games, do whatever and have a great time. (I never drink though because I'm no fun :<). This usually lasts until like fuccen 3-4am LMAO xD

Sunday: Me and Byron goes to church while the others over at the house cleans up the place. Usually by the time we are home, the house is spotless with our friends just chillin' over at the couch watching TV or whatever. Sunday is basically our resting/chillin' day. We don't do shit on sunday other then stay home and be bums for the whole day :3

Video games aside, do you have any hobbies? play any instruments?

I love to play basketball and volleyball. I also love running, swimming, dancing, boxing, drawing and trying out new things. I can only play the piano perfectly. I actually play it for my church :3

How long have you been playing FFR/stepmania, and how often do you play in a week?

I started Stepmania at around late 2007 and played it for about 2 1/2 years. As for FFR, I signed up for it at around mid 2007 and played a few games but them forgot about it until 3 years later xD

So I guess you can say that I have been playing FFR for about a year :3

Could you let everyone know what settings you use for FFR/stepmania? (engine, keys, speed mod, up/downscroll ect.)

FFR: I am not really use what official speedmod that I use since I change it a lot depending on which file I play. From looking at my old screenshots, I used from 1.75x to 1.95x with both the legacy and velocity engine. I use upscroll and ZXCV :3

Stepmania: I use C800 distant with midare++ using ZXCV. I play upscroll.

Do you have any warmup routines, or have any silly/odd way of warming up before you play?

I use a stress ball for both hands for about a few minutes and then play jacky FMO+ files until my hands are ready :3
