The last hour of the event has to be uninterrupted.

Example - At hour 19, you take a 30 minute break, then come back and play for 45 minutes and end the event. The last hour of the event was 15 minutes of break and 45 minutes of play. The event ended illegitimately in that scenario.

Wow. The most I've ever done is two hours on ITG. Good luck, I'll be sure to tune in.

Is this what saw the 40 hour one DQ'd? Am curious as I was planning on going for that record in the summer, would be nice to know that I don't HAVE to get the full 40, haha.

But good luck to you guys and I hope you raise a lot! I'll be tuning in

Going to give this one more try - Would it be possible to get this thread stickied for the duration of the event?

            ------

My friend and I have a little competition going on to keep us going through this. We're going to have a tally on the stream feed of how many songs each of us has won. We're just looking for something to wager, but we don't know what. What do you all have in mind? Try to keep it PG-13. =P

I should add this note - We have to start on the lowest possible difficulty and increase the difficulty every 5 hours.

            0:00:00 - 4:59:59 -- Beginner
            5:00:00 - 9:59:59 -- Light
            10:00:00 - 14:59:59 -- Standard
            15:00:00 - Completion -- Heavy

Please bear with us with the first 10 hours of the event. We'll do what we can to make it interesting to watch. :P

Just because you're playing easier charts doesn't mean they'll be boring. Pluto Relinquished Light was a 9 footer, if you're worried about easy charts.

If I got paid today, I'll be sure to tune in for a few and chip in. Especially if you'll do requests.

                    Re: DDR World Record Attempt!

The fact that any other difficulty is being used is pretty stupid.

I already came across the 24 hour idea in Summer of 2010 but I was going to do a forced 24 hour with minute breaks every 30 mins, but instead of stopping to choose a song, have a ton of custom shit mixed together (this isn't hard to do, just time-consuming.) And that would have been pure 9s-15s (on ITG scale.)

I support this, but I think the first 15 hours is complete BS. Otherwise I'd take a weekend and destroy the 20 hour record just because I find it BS that easier difficulties are aloud.

Yet again, I support the idea definitely especially since it's for a legitimate cause. So good luck.

Now that I think about it, you guys might dread the first 15 hours more than the last 5...

Good luck! It's going to be very tiring so bring energy drinks or coffee or something to keep you up.

The easier difficulty thing its silly for anyone who has a chance of doing it, but you can't argue against Guinness if you want their record. Definitely the hardest part though, I imagine it must be so easy to fail through boredom in those first 5 hours!

If you're attempting something with tough ITG songs I recommend trying my 4 hour file sometime. Still remains unpassed to my knowledge!

What machine is this attempt on anyways?
