Eyes keep watering when I'm playing FFR

As some of you noticed, I quit FFR for about 2 months and came back just about 2-3 weeks ago. Since then, my eyes keep watering every time I'm about to AAA an FMO or SDG an FGO or something. Everything is fine, until I realize I'm getting close to AAAing a song and that's when I become aware of blinking, so I STOP blinking involuntarily and that's when I have to keep my eyes open until the very end of the song, or blink (which will cause me to lose the AAA)

I can't even play normal songs now cause it keeps reminding me of blinking and VOLUNTARY blinking makes the screen go blank for a split second and makes me mess up obviously.

Any way to prevent this??, cause it's annoying as hell.

I noticed that no matter what difficulty I am AAAing I end up more often than not having to control my blinking so I don't mess up from misreads.

You gotta play the charts more and just picks pots to blink and that's it.

Try using less dense sections or jump gluts. It sounds odd but jump gluts are good sections for me to blink because it's such a fast glance to memorize it works easy when you've played the chart enough like I tend to have to.

- Lower your screen's contrast, maybe it's too bright
- Take some distance to your screen
- Get more sleep
- It could be that your eyes are extremely dry, so maybe get some eye drop
- Take a break at times

Keep a humidifier in your room and turn it on half an hour or so before playing. Close erry door and window you see. Cold and/or dry air dries your eyes out faster. Draughts make it worse, as does air conditioning.

Other than that try turning the brightness of your monitor down a notch or if possible have dark background on your desktop

Anyways, if just a blink causes you to miss stuff, I'd either go with Midnight's suggestion or lower the scroll speed by .1, either way should help.

lol this only really happened to me on Revo cuz dat BG. It really does suck when you become aware of your blinking tho.

Thanks everyone, turned down the brightness and pushed my monitor a little further from eyes. Now my eyes water less, but I'm still aware of blinking which is annoying lol..

I don't even have to blink anymore. I can keep my eyes open for about 5-10 minutes.

FFR trains your body to be extremely focused on a screen for minutes without moving. When you try to AAA a song for the first time, your brain tells your body to keep your concentration and to avoid any movements. As soon as you are aware of something that you can't control (such as watery-eyes or rapid heartbeat for example) it's inevitable that you're gonna start paying attention to that and you will miss the song.

As for watering eyes, one of my advices is to play when you're not tired. Sometimes when I play late, my eyes starts hurting and I'm blinking more often. If you play in the dark with only your screen as a source of light, it's gonna get worse so try playing in the day or with lights on. That might reduce blinking.

Blink? I've never had a problem blinking while playing FFR. It's too fast to have any effect on my reading.

the only time you'll mess up because of a blink is if you think about it too much. I'm pretty sure I blink a lot when I play and I never have any issues
