    Cool.

But Québec also has twice the taxes the rest of canada has.

And PEI has lower tuition fees.
Forgot where I put my old sig lol

twice the taxes? regarding what lol. alcohol is twice the price here and we have 13% tax, NS has 15%.

the rest of canada didn't vote for harper, rather everyone out west except BC did and unfortunately that's pretty much the majority of Canada's population that isn't Québec.

Quebec's provincial political situation is really ****ed up. Between the sovereignty junkies and the "liberal" party leading the province, nothing but dissatisfaction has been achieved.

Well, if anyone thought the province couldn't get any worse, I suppose this would qualify as proving them wrong. It's just another beautiful example of how the provincial government is continuously striving to make everyone suffer.

Also, lol @ "proud to be Quebecois", people still spewing out that crap here? Very disappointing.

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
              "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.

Combine consumer taxes and what we call "impôts", and here you go.

Edit: I think its called "income tax", but I have no idea.

We have higher in general. They impose some more to us.

But we could argue that our Chômage rate is insane...

Still. Us students managed to pull off a protest without breaking anything while being 200 000 people at the same time. Props to that, at least.

New Brunswick's sales taxes are the lowest they've ever been since I've been alive, or at least old enough to know what tax is. And the province has a staggering debt, but what's-his-face conservative is, obviously, being a regular conservative and refusing to up the tax.
I don't know about income taxes in comparison to other provinces. If I recall right, when I used to do my own taxes, the province's baseline for having to pay income tax was a higher amount than for paying federal tax, meaning I paid less provincial tax than federal tax.

Tuition rates are much higher than they used to be when I started university. My dad who's a prof (not that I would necessarily trust his info) says that UNB spends like ten times as much as it used to on administration than it did when he started out.

Keep up the pressure you Quebec students, I wish you luck.

that's no surprise. UdeM tuitions doubled since the late 90's but they're saying not enough people attend (gee I wonder why)

alward is a twat and spends more money on his riding in woodstock than he does anywhere else in the province

I'm pretty proud, just shocked it took as long as it did. Also, what does that have to do with the topic at hand? I happen to live right at the center of all the current controversy and have many friends who are and/or will be affected by this ridiculous hike in fees and who have participated in the protest rallies. I also reserve a substantial amount of dislike for the locals (french particularly) who wear their false sense of pride on their sleeves, it's sickening.
